I just saw a Shipwright advertising KSE Firesprays for sale for 7.5 milion and am wondering - are the Firesprays worth their associated costs?

KSE's are expensive because of the rarity and the way they are produced.

Wheather or not it is worth it is up to you. you need to weaigh out the functionality with the nostolgic worth. I was lucky to get mine from a SW friend. But I hated it because for what you can do with it component wise was not good enough for the mass or its manouverability. The B-wing in comparison IMO is a monster and I love it.

Now some ppl have the KSE for other obvious reasons, being slave 1. So if that is why you want it, then It may be worth the cost.

Now that is my 2 republic credits on this topic.

ps, sorry about the crappy spelling.

The Firespray isn't worth that much in PvP. Most people would call it an easy target, etc. etc. As the previous poster said, it costs so much because it is extremly hard to craft.

Personally, I love the Firespray and can't wait till I have enough money to actually purchase one for myself. Until then, I'm flying my Krayt around space.

"A bounty hunter is an outlaw, a tracker -- and sometimes a killer -- for hire. He doesn't care who his targets are, or who they're running from, or why. He works for the highest bidder, which means the richest and the most ruthless beings in the galaxy. No questions asked." .

Well I already purchased one of the Firesprays (I love how they look and would love the SW feel). What would make the best PVP/PVE ship for a Smuggler's Alliance Master Pilot? I am really looking for the best one occupant ship - don't really care much for the multiperson ships.

When I first got my Firespray I really hated it after that first launch. I actually did a redeed and tucked it away in a corner of my house. Then for some reason I decided to dust it off not too long ago and give it another shot. It is definately a somewhat odd ship to get used to. The inertia applied to it can seem...excessive. However like any new ship you just have to play around with it. It went something like this for me:

1. First launch...."Ugh this ship sucks!"

2. 2nd launch...."Well maybe I could give it a shot, wow look at all the nice components I can equip."

3. First Blacksun Duty Mission..."Well actually that wasn't too bad, kinda weird to fly, took me a bit longer than usual..."

4. Second Blacksun Duty Mission..."Hey this ship is actually kinda kewl!"

5. Off to Kessel for some faction grinding, take out the Vette for someone who wondered in with ace mission in datapad..."OMG I love this ship!"

The majority of pilots I know hate the Firespray, I love it for PvE. I admit I have never tried it in PvP and most likely never will (hmm well actually now I just might just so I can say I did!). You are really the only person who can decide. It is rather expensive to just get and test a couple times just to find out you don't like it, so if 7 million or so credits would really hurt your wallet then maybe wait a bit to try it out. But when you can try it out I strongly recomend giving it a decent chance. Yes it is a bit rough going when starting out, but once you get used to it, it is actually a very fun ship to fly.

I've found pilots who can make any number of so called suicide ships work in PvP. Some just take more work than others.

i don't think it's worth it, unless you are rebel/imp and just not quite managing to fit your preferred two gun weapon setup on your heavy fighter. remember, you are going to get hit about 30% more in a firespray so you may want to devote some of that extra 30-40k mass to protection.

of course, looks/sound/feel/immersion can mean much more to people than efficiency.

it's definately NOT an efficient vette killer. you'll take out vettes 10x as fast in a small hitbox ship. i'd say it's an efficient gunboat/npc POB/npc fighter killer way before i'd say it's the weapon of choice vs a ship set up like the vettes are.
