Thread: I pray the yt-2400 isn't overpowered/unbalanced!

If its like the RotW ships with better natural y/p/r, or extra mass it will be! (Though the mass might not be an issue in this case)


But, either way I'm worried that the "birth" of the multiplayer ships (publish 24), might be hampered if the yt-2400 is overpowered!


Just wanted to voice that before any actually got one!

From what I heard, It will be able to fight POB's easier than others ( save the Y8, 5 guns > all) but fighters will still be able to fight it like any other.

I just pray it has the ability to see out the windows, the ability to hold loot, the ability to load equipment into the slots and have it work (weapons), and the ability to drop objects inside and be able to /move them around.... That's not overpowering is it?

From what I hear about how hard it is to actually get one i'm sure it won't be worth the effort. How much better can it be? It has only 2 guns like the faction POB's, no pilot linked guns. YPR won't help much anyway.

From what I've heard so far it's just a re-skinned YT-1300 (then again so are the nova and deci.).

Nova/Deci have 3 missile ports
perhaps thats what the YT-2400 will be, a YT-1300 with new skin and 3 missiles

Heaven forbid that pilots are allowed to see where they're flying in first person mode

Maybe they're simulating the blast shield on our helmet is down and we need to use the force (blue/red boxes)?

I dont think this will be an issue.

The YPR is so wretched (and rightly so) on the POB's that even a sharp increase would be nominal and have very little effect. And mass is a complete non-issue with these beasts. And for the record i looooove the new POB parts, finally these big dogs are worth using
