I have a shipwright alt and I wanna know if the plasma leak dmg is by a % or a dmg number and if a level 1 crafter could withstand it before i make him my pilot... if not i can make my level 80 combat guy my pilot but.. shipwright just kinda goes with it. ya know?

I'm a CL10 and Pilot my POB with little problem.Even the few times we have had a conduit or plasma leak the damage taken wasn't enough to incapacitate me or my crew. just make sure you have those conduit repair tools as well as the all purpose repair tools.

If you're terribly worried about it just find yourself an on-board medic. I guess since its a ship he'd be a Corpsman or she would be. jedi with healer make excellent co-pilots in just that situation but other than my jedi I don't think there are many that enjoy space as much asI do.

Actually, the Jedi in my guild tend to like crewing ona POB more than they like flying their own ships--I can usually find a crew if need be.

Oh, and the conduits repair with one click and one "charge" off your repair kit. They're easy to repair and take very little time. There's no percentages or anything involved...it's either "broken" or "undamaged."

You dont need an on board medic. Plasma leaks only do fire dot damage, and fire dots cannot incap you, so you can just run around with one health and be fine. Pre CU, this was not the case.

atleast its not like startrek though where one shot makes a leak.....
