Thread: another question for you aces out there

ok. i managed to kill the rss in DS earlier, and the corvette that spawned in kessel just after it, problem is tho, my ship
im using a krayt, is this the most efficient ship to use or is there another thats better?
what ships do you guys use, and what do you kit it out with.

I'd say the first question is how did you manage to kill the RSS? Unless something's changed in the last 2 days I didn't see/hear about.
As to efficient ships, the answer you'll get is pretty much the same. It all depends on what your playstyle is. For myself, I prefer a light, fast attack ship. Being Imperial, that's an Advanced or Heavy TIE. If I was Freelance, I'd be flying the Vaksai or Heavy Scyk. Really, it's based on what you want. If you are out for killing all those NPCs and getting a lot of drops, you can't really beat the Krayt. Not to mention the ability to help out those grinding pilots by tossing them in that turret. PvP in a Krayt is a little interesting. It packs the firepower to drop just about anything in one pass, but that's about all you get, considering the majority of the PvP'ers will be out there in something really light and quick and probably end up flying circles around you.

thx, and in answer to your question, i think it was the rss, as it was a station-like thing that me and a frioend attacked and blew up.
we're on the lowca server if that helps
it might not have been the rss for definite, but it was fun trying to dodge things and blow it up

I only asked because, in as far as I know, the RSS is still bugged. The subcomponents on it that you need to destroy are not able to be hit. Guess it was just wishful thinking that it might have been stealth-fixed.
Oh, and an addendum to my previous comment. I'm not saying a krayt doesn't do good in PvP. I've seen a few that do extremely well. It's just a lot harder to outfit them to keep up with the smaller fighters, so it requires a lot more dedication and knowledge of what the ship needs. I'd recommend chatting with a few friendly shipwrights on Lowca to see what they have to say about it, and what they might be able to help with.
