Short story: I am a Rebel Pilot 4444 doing the master mission, I have to kill 30 Imperial ships in Kessel. When I go to kessel Imperial ships are friendly and untouchable while rebel ships are aggressive but not helpful to destroy. Been like this for a few days now, through server restarts and logging in and out.

Long Story: I have done a good amount of flying so far. I mastered Smugglers alliance squad first destroying the Imperial vette solo in a sluggish Rihkxyrk (involved a few trips). I then mastered the Imperial Inquisition squad destroying the rebel vette in a decked out JSF with no trouble. Now that I am in the Crimson Phoenix squadron I am stuck with this bug that prevents me from ever getting master.

Some small details that I don't know effects this or not are, I resigned from freelance through the normal pilot guild in bestine. I resigned from Imperial squadron by resigning from imperials all together. I entered rebel ground faction by talking to the pilot trainer to join squad (I don't remember talking to a recruiter at all but who knows).

I have submitted a bug report and a ticket on this matter but it is and will continue to take a while obviously. Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Have you tried redeeding the ship you're using? I'm guessing it's the JSF ... if you're not willing to do so, try using another ship.

I know it should not matter but...check your ground faction. It's probably a combination problem of your pilot squad, your ground faction, and that JSF that's borking you. My path is similar to yours, andI currently have -2048 Rebel faction, and was still able to sign on Vortex, even though the FAQ says you need to work off the negative faction first. I am going to go overt here and there to get my Rebel faction positive, so that hopefully I do not run into the same problem.

On a side note: If I cannot find a smuggler, and Rebel mission terminals will not generate any missions for me...exactly how am I supposed to get back on the positive side, other than space?

Update: You can join a squad with negative faction, but when you try to complete the first mission, you will be informed that you cannot proceed until you fix your faction.

They should give you an option to do delivery missions. However, deliveries are not the first tab, so you actually have to go looking for them. But no, while you have negative Rebel faction, they won't be asking you to assassinate members of the opposition.

Thanks Treena

The problem is, the Rebellion Mission Terminal that I am using does not have a destroy or deliver tab...it's just blank. I would think that Moenia being perma-Rebel, there would be a rebel mission terminal here, but maybe this one just does not work at all, and I need to find/use another one.

Kryxal said what I would have. The ship that you're trying to fly in Kessel, presumably your Actis, did you ever take it into Deep Space as an Imperial? If so, it's bugged - and you simply need to redeed it. This is a consistant issue for Freelance pilots in Kessel/Deep Space.
