I'd look for ones with better stats.

If you just want a decent engine thenyou're on the right track, get the pitch, RE it and have fun.

Possible with L8 engines:
Hitpoints: Haor Chall Military Grade engine (tier 4 privateer reward) has 800+ HP. Your engine will live longer with that.
Mass: Yours is good, better is possible butrare
Drain: can get as low as 1400
PYR: 73+ pre-RE is possible, but rare. 72+ pre-re is imo doable
Top speed: Excellent

My Haor reward engine was pretty mediocre; HP was about 700. I re'd it with some other okay lvl8s and got a decent result. But considering the relative rarity of the speed of this engine, I think I will wait until I get higher PYR engines. The friend who helped me only got a speed of 89. I don't know anybody who got a speed of 100+ Don't know what the average is and surprisingly enough, forum search isn't working.

I'd kill for a level 8 Engine with that mass at the moment.

So far my engine, post RE, will look like this:

Armor: 858.4
Hit Points: 858.4
RED: 1369.7
Mass: 24604.6
Pitch: 71.3
Yaw: 76.8
Roll: 75.2
Speed: 101.5

I'm holding out for better mass, maybe 22k-23k post RE, and pitch, bring it up to 75-76.

I lucked out with a good Nyms plus a great looted mass level 8 and used my Haol Chall reward for the Armor/Hitpoints. Was too impatient to wait for a little better PYR.
