Thread: Help me outfit my tier 4 rebel ship?

I just finished tier 3, and am 500k on my way to tier 4 fighters. I already did the advanced X-Wing quest so was planning on utilizing that, until I read the list of ships available at tier 4.
I always read good things about the Bellubab(sp?) and a few others, but am not sure what to do. I definitely like flying the X-wing as a rebel if not just for the immersion of flying one as a rebel pilot 
But....is an A-wing, Bellubab, etc. better to acquire? My preference is a happy medium between maneuverability, and firepower. That is why I thoroughly loved the Y-wing long probe. Was pretty sluggish moving, but had heavy hit with top of the line blasters.

If you are looking for a good-great combo the Bel-22 is a that ship. Enough mass to give you a good engine. Enough firepower to get the job done. I have both the Bel-22 and Advanced X-wing. I really like them both. You can pack a real wallop in the X. The only disadvantage is the you will get hit more in the X.
If I am grinding parts or xp I go with the X. For mission whether my own or helping with someone else's I like the Bel-22

I agree with the above poster. the heavy X is a tank with a good sheild and can take many hit and candish it out with all those guns. the B22 is great for PvP however (i got my first kill in PvP with my B22last night, it was a krayt though, so no real accomplishment, it was so easy to get inside his turn it wasn't funny,) and soloing the ISD with it is too easy, just get a good level 6 reward engine and you'll have so much fun you'll wonder if it's legal

Heavy X + lvl 10 RE'd engine > greivous anyday
my heavy X has lvl 10 with all PYR 80-83 IF you assume only 80 and factor in EO4 that's equivalent to 112 PYR(40% increase) with a near 1300 cruising spd foils open
I'd rather that in nearly any engagement over a belabubb(sp?) and my JSF is still a second choice on everything except corvette runs to help people out(can do in X wing just not quite as easy or fast)
in defence of JSF/greivous I will probably use it more once I find all the engines I need to truly RE a pre nerf reward w/o wasting it but til that time my adv X wing set up beats it in EVERY way except hit profile

thats belbullab for the spelling (i always liked saying bellabub, but thats not how it's spelt :smileysad and if i had a level 10 engine like that i'd probably use my heavy X even more then i do, which is a lot.

helps having 3 guys who fly ALOT willing to trade and spot pieces for awesome RE's
