Thread: Missile reload

Is there a way that i can load missiles into my launcher (without losing any) if i already have some from a previous flight? The only way i know to reload the missiles makes me lose the ones that are currently in the launcher. I really am tired of losing 4-6 missiles each time this happens. I want to make sure i have enough ammo in the launcher if the mission calls for it, yet i don't want to lose some everytime i don't fire a full load.

The only way to reload missiles is to havethe previous ammo kicked out and lost. The ammo is loaded in as if it were a cartridge... one goes in, the other has tocome out and it disappears. As far as I can remember Inspace-reload operates the same way. Since the missles from Inspace or of a lesser quality then the ones installed, and since you can't have two different types of missiles in the same launcher, the old ones are kicked out.

my point about inspace reload was that he could reload after using up the remainder, then continue.

well, it is quiet illogical that i cannot take the old ones out on the ground and put the new ones in. especially as good missiles are hard to find, i really hate just losing them so frequently.

Well, it was the easiest way for devs to implement this ammo system, otherwise they would have had to save every missile (or at least two types) seperately since you could have loaded some new with other stats than the old ones you still had in the launcher. Easy for devs isn't always better for user, but we already know that long enough.
