Id rather not get a canned response

I have a question about faction farming in deep space.

I am a Freelance Pilot but am an Imperial on the ground

To farm faction i need to declare in space at an imperial space station.

I do this , but when i go back to the neutral station they say they dont deal with imperials. Ok thats cool so i go to the imperial station (the one that you launch to deep space as an imp pilot) and they tell me i need 30k faction. Since im freelance I am unable to get imperial prestiege.

It appears that there is no way for me as a Declared Imperial Freelance Pilot to get into deep space.

Any input would be greatly appreceiated.

Ive had this problem since day one. Ive posted here about it, and got alot of responses from people who think they know what theyre talking about, but have never actually done it. I hope someone comes along and has an answer for you on how to do it, so I can learn to, but my experiance has told me there is no way a freelance pilot can earn faction in space.
Good luck.

Freelance can not go overt and enter Kessel or Deepspace. It is likely a bug, but has been that way since JTL first launched so long ago.

What happens is this, the normal space station you would go to in Dath sees you as Reb/Imp and wont let you go. Soooo..yougo to Endor (if you are an Imp) and that guy sees you as Imp, but then because you are a freelance...wont launch you.

Clearly this is a bug. Either the faction bases need to launch regardless of piloting skills as long as you are declared, or the nuetral station needs to acknowledge us as freelance regardless of our declaration.

Which freelance faction are you? Remember that RSF are Imp bootlickers, Smuggler's Alliance are Rebel lackeys and CorSec Squadron are fencesitters and are the only true neutral faction. If you are in one of those three freelance units, you will need to see the Neutral Deep Space station (don't recall off hand which system it's in) to enter Deep Space or Kessel. Since you no longer require to be overt to get into Kessel, you do not have to declare affiliation unless you want to PvP. If you enter Deep Space then you should be prompted to pick either Rebel or Imperial. Remember, if you are RSF or Smuggler's Alliance, you're only options will be Imperial and Rebel. If you're a CorSec freelancer, you will be able to choose either one. Hope this helps some.

Almost. You can still go into Kessel overt as an Impreial or Rebel. Just declare and go to your faction's normal launch station (Endor for Imperials...and....I think Dantooine for Rebels) It doesn't cost prestige points to go to Kessel so you should still be good. Unfortunately this is the best faction farming for us Freelancers as of yet in space.
