Sorry, I meant I am also looking for a guide that tells me when I can consider a component a good/average one for my ship.

Anyhow, here are the "general" guides explaining how the many parts work.

Let's hope some Master Pilot can explain us how we can find out if a component is good or dirty cheap.

The Emporer's retreat is on the planet naboo under the poi tab if thats any help to you (im not sure if you can land there as an imperial pilot - ask at naboo space station... as for the freelance trainer, it depends which squadran you are, ie smugglers alliance, rsf or corsec (started on either tatooine / naboo/ coriella) as to where your next trainer is.

At the first tier you should have collected enough loot is space to not really have to visit the bazaar much to outfit your ship, remember to have a look through the parts you loot in space before you sell them to the chassis dealer.

While I realize this may not be the place for product endorsements .......

I picked up the Primastrategy guide this afternoon and gave it a good once-over. EVERY weapon, NPC, mount, droid, and -- here's my point -- ship component in the game is listed in the book (not to mention a TON of other useful information which I still need to read). Any newbie pilotwho is running into similar issues, or even non-pilots who are overwhelmed by the complexity of this game, will benefit from this book.

prima guides are a ripoff....nothing in there is going to be anything you cant find easily in the pilot forums. Read through the Pilot FAQ first, before you blow money on a guide that gets outdated very rapidly.

and yeah, at 1111 its not going to really matter what you get, the missions will be easy enough that whatever you can find on the bazaar will do just fine. Youll level up to tier 2 and 3 very quickly, and that will let you use much better stuff. There was a friday feature a while back explaining what stats are good to have higher number and which are better lower on space components, just do a little shopping on the bazaar/GWVS and your ship should be up to par in no time.

To make a long story short...

I am a 1-1-1-1 imp pilot, I was told to meet some guy at the Emperor's Retreat, which I could not find anywhere in the game. Ifound a post online here that said talk to the Naboo space station. They say "an Imperial freighter needs your help!" so as soon as I get to the freighter I am blown up by a bunch of Tier 2 and Tier 3 rebels.

The only solution I can think of to advance my pilot career is to build a better ship. So I get the blueprints for a TIE fighter chassis, have the chassis built, and there's WAAAY too many parts in the bazaar to put in it, and doesn't say what I'm certified to install (this game DEFINITELY needs better documentation on managing spacecraft).

Has anybody else run into this? What are my options? Is there a list online ofsome good parts to put into a Tier 1 TIE fighter chassis? Any info that anyone here can offer would help. Thanks!

I have the exact same problem, but I am a freelancer. So I bough a dunelizard, created the chassis, now I need to put the pieces together to create a better ship than the starting one... from where should I start?

I read the guide about upgrading your ship, with all the various parts' stats explained. What I am missing is some reference- I need to know which are the stats for an average component. So, is there a way to know which are the average components stats for an average ship the level of the dunelizard?

I believe we are looking for the same answer?

ArawnJad thanks for the input (glad I'm not alone! )-- Where did you find this guide? I've been looking around for something of the sort. Thanks.
