Thread: Is every vette a mission vette?

I have been eager to try my Krayt against the vette, but I dont want to steal anyone's mission and make them wait a whole nother two hours for it. I considered Deepspace, but I really don't want to get jumped by a PVP serious JSF pilot while flying a hulking gunboat. So is it ok to take vettes in Kessel or should I leave it be and brave the PVP zone?

All Vettes in Kessel are anyone's vettes. Feel free to take it, no one has a specific right to it(altho if u dont have a misison on it its prolly best to let some1 who does take it.

or you can be nice and disable a vette completely leaving the bridge open for attack...that way you could be helping people get master easily... I do this from time to time.

also Vettes in DS are only for Imps to kill .

Hehe ok, thanks for the input. And happily, I am an Imperial in Deepspace so I am good to go on that!

Although I hear there are more Imperials on every galaxy now... hm.... looks liek it is time for me to switch to the new underdog!

If you're just looking to take down a corvette, go to Kashyyyk and do the quests from the space station there. The final one, which grants the hvy xwing, royal TIE and Vaksai fighter is the same corvette, but without the escort ships. I just took one down for practice.

Just don't kill only the kessel vette and then leave the gunboats and/or escorts. If you only kill the vette, the gunboats will go to the exit point, along with any remaining escorts, and circle themselves in a very tricky to kill mass of rotating turrets. They will stay there like that for quite some time it seems, preventing a new vette from spawing. Leaving that kind of mess is the only real disservice to others you can do by fighting the kessel vettes.

That last Kashyyk station mission is cool. I tried twice solo and both times I got so close to the station before the attackers blew it up. Without all the lagging boxes that were in kashyyk at the time though made me enlist a fellow Ace's help and we delivered her in 100% condition no problem. I was kind of hoping capturing the vette iteself had had some escort to eliminate too.

The neutral one has a small fighter escort that is kind enough to line up in the Vette's blind spot for you.

If no one is actively taking on a Corvette, feel free to go for it. Be absolutely certain you kill the entire escort, gunboats included. and then it's just part of the game. No one can hold it against you if they show up just after you finish and have to wait, because anyone doing a Corvette mission needs to go into it expecting to wait for the spawn.

If you want vettes, go to the Deep Space instead Kessel I'd say and look for a rebel corvette. There are many pilots trying to be ace waiting for hours with their group at Kessel to do the final mission without one spawning, while there are many corvettes in DS not far from the Alliance Station. Kashyyyk quest corvette could be another option, but you really don't need to destroy it .
