I am currently 1111, and i totaly love the maneurverabiltiy of the begining rebel ship the a wing i think it is called.I spent alot of money(for me) and got a y wing, and with a engine that only goes about 47.9 tops it seems sooooo sluggish compared to the begining ship.

My question would be,to save me money could you all tell me other ships that manuevers as well as the beginning ship.?And what would be best items to put on the y wing to help it turn and sweep better.

And how long would be begining ship be good for if i wanted to keep just using it.Thank you.

I'm a new pilot too, ran into similar issues recently with my TIE fighter (yea, I know... an Imperial helping a Rebel?)

Did you keep your starter ship? Sub out all the parts from the A-wing to your new ship and replace just one part at a time (old engine, new weapons, new boosters, etc). The new spacecraft will perform similarly but bear in mind that repairs on a destroyedstarter shipcosts 100 credits, while the same damage on a custom ship with the exact same parts can run thousands of credits.

I hope this helps. Like I said, I'm learning too-- I just posted a thread yesterdayto vent about the lack ofinformation onlinefor 1111 pilots to build their own ship!

If you have the money, pick up a Heavy Z95 (that's what you had if you were Rebel. A-wings are Tier 4 ships). It has all the same stats of a normal Z95, but 95k mass instead of 12k. You can easily use that ship all the way to Ace if you wanted.

I too recommend the Heavy Z-95 (sell for approx $400k). After dropping rebel master pilot to steal the JSF from the Imps, I built a heavy Z-95 and used it until I reach 4-3-3-3 and then began using the JSF. It only has one gun, and it is not a pretty ship, but it is very difficult to max it out. You can easily put whatever you want on it and it will keep you from having to fly the sluggish Ywings through 2 whole tier levels. If nothing else, use it until you can get an agile enough xwing that can sport 3 guns.

The Heavy variant starter ships are all the same certification as their normal versions. The reason that the Imps get ours at Tier 1 instead of Tier 0 is because it was coded as a variant of our normal TIE Fighter, not the Tier 0 Light Duty TIE.
