Okay i've been testing out the diffrent fighters trying to see which one is the best to use in PvP, and so far my conclusion is none so far.
they are to big and the weapon placement on some of them are not worth a damb. but hey they are fast.
so i was wondering what you think is the best fighter to use in pvp in space as a neutral pilot?

I personally like to fly the Dunelizard.Theperformance is only bettered by the kihrax, but that ship only has a 40k mass and 1 gun hardpoint
The style 1 is the smaller of the 2 styles and has a mass of 85k, 20k more than the A-wing and TIE Advanced.
The Kryat has 2.5x the mass and 3 guns, but is less manuverable than the 'lizzy. And the Kryat is a BIG target.
Certainly in deep space, I find thatsmall, fast, and manuverable is a better defence than a big shield.

ya i've been fying in my Kihrax and it would be an amazing fighter if it only had a diffrent gun point on it. but i've died way to many times when i've gotton in a spiral with my enemy because my gun placements and of my fat ass compaired to the ties

I think the Krayt is the best high end ship in the game personally. For over all pvp, the dunelizzy style one is awesome. Small, thin profile, very sleek, and with the right paint pattern, very hard to see in space. The higher level mass is what really sells it, with two gun ports and a missle and CM ports also. All the parts would obviously need to be REd because you still have a low cap limit, but overall, it's tough to compete with.

Anyone ever try an X-Wing in PVP? I have one pretty tricked out and was wondering how it did. I am realatively new to PVP, and have not even been in a single encounter. I have poked around and killed a lot of NPCs in deep space, but that is about it.

I managed to fill out my DL fairly nice:
- One L5 and one L7 blasters (1800/2500 rapid fire)
- L6 cap (1100 energy, 52 recharge)
- One of those pre-nerf 14.x L1 droid interfaces
- A mark III proton missile port
- Sensor countermeasures
- Good L7 reactor (16000+)
- L6 engine (92.2 pre-nerf)
- L6 shields (1900/1900)
- L6 armor in back, L4 in front
That took some work to get it in harmony; the energy was the biggest issue. But man, this ship kicks butt in dogfighting.

hmm cool so maybe the duneLizard is a good PvP fighter. it is a bit more exposed then the Kih which i feel to be a slight downfall but i'll try it out again. the Kih just has to big of a weapon spread to do anything in pvp space combat.
and btw the krayt is my ship of choose when not pvping. it kicks so much ass

Dude, if you are running a L6 REd Cap, it is way too heavy. Get a couple of decent level 2s and get them REd. You'll have a cap around 800 energy with about 38 recharge. Use Cap overcharge 3 and Weapon overload 3 you will never ever deplete it. That ought to free up some mass for you to put a couple of good RE blasters.

Dunelizzie, style one...no questions needed, best of the neutral ships for PvP.
That is unless you wanna scare the living daylights out of people and then fly a Krayt in anywhere but DS.

Taken from Pilot FAQ:
A-Wing: 65k mass [SP: 1 Guns] 1 missile
[Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 250 Yaw 250 Roll 125]
TIE-Adv:65k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 1 missile
[Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 300 Yaw 300 Roll 150]
-
Dunelizard: 85k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 1 missile
[Spdx 0.95 Acc 30 Dec 30 Pitch 300 Yaw 300 Roll 150]
Dunelizard is *slightly* slower, but is just as manuverable as a T/A, slighly more manuverable than an Awing, and has more mass than both.

I may have missed it here, but what is a standard mass on the krayt?
Mine is 200k.
