Thread: Which squadrons are the toughest?

I mastered the smuggler's alliance about a month ago and found it pretty easy. I'm thinking about trying the other pilot professions just so i can find a challenge. My question is which squadrons for rebel/imperial/freelance are considered the toughest? thanks

Storm Squad, Impstarting in Bestine,is generally reported to have the longest missions and some of the toughest.

Black Epsilon's got some pretty crazy missions, too. It was especially fun trying to take out two gunboats and their escorts in a tiny little Interceptor.
I hear one of the Rebel squads is pretty tough. Think it's Havok, but I'm not sure.
As for privateer, Smugglers Alliance is definitely not too hard. I've flown wing on some RSF missions that were challenging, but in my experience SS and BE seem to have a leg and most of a torso up on all the rest in terms of difficulty.

Definatly not Havoc squadron, I started an alt character as a rebel pilot and was able to solo to 3-3-3-3 and did all the missions on my first try. I kind of just gave up after that because I didn't want to grind out the 1 million xp. Havoc is probably the easiest of the rebel squadrons.

Vortex Squadron starting from Naboo is the hardest rebel one i believe

I think it's storm squadron too... it' snot that the missions are more difficult (they aren't actually) but you have to deal with A-Wings lot (more than in other squadrons imho) and the missions are just insanely long.

Havoc is pretty tough once you get to tier 4, I had a hell of a time killing the gunboat for the 4443 box, and the final mission, was tough too, but after that , hell, you can almost solo the vette, lol.
But its true, I soloed all the missions on the first 3 tiers.

Black Epsilon's misions are the toughest, I'm on number 8 ace and had to drop it in tier 3. The tier 4 nova isn't to bad but the tier 4 gunboat is wayto tough for tier 3 missions. My guild is mostly rebel so no help from them.
And Imperial pilots don't like to help on Bloodfin even when ya offer 100k per pilot. So after the fourth death I'm doing the last rebel ace before I try it again.

Actually Havoc is easy even with the gunboat, because you can fail that part of the mission and it will just give you a different one that doesn't have the gunboat.
OK, so we have established that Storm Squadron is hard. How about the freelance squadrons? Nobody has chimed in on those.

Ya I would say Storm Squad for the pure length of mission, failed on 1 solo because it ended up near the T4 Deathwatch spawns and 8 T4 sips plus the mission ones were too much. Grabbed some friends and reran the mission right away. Over 4 hours total for 2 tries on 1 mission.
