So here is what happend, I am flying along, minding my own business, and a ship, labeled, civilian ship, crosses my path. No I have never seen a civilian ship before, so I nudge a little closer, and examine him, I found nothing unremarkable, so I hit "i" to inspect him, and discovered he was carrying espionage materials. well, the ship was not showing as friendly to my faction, so I figure, he should not have those. so I incap the ship and dock with it, successfully retrieving the espionage materials. I then proceed to kill what appeared to me to be a spy.

Now I have these espionage materials as cargo, or so it seems, I can't seem to access them, and I can not seem to dock with any one to unload them, any suggestions?

Lot's of ships "carry" things, and they aren't part of any mission, and you don't get any item for snagging them. Hopefully someday this gets improved, since being a Privateer isn't as much fun without the occasional "Heave to and prepare to be boarded matey!! ARRRRRRG!!!"
