Is it possible to be a Valarian, Black Sun Pilot as opposed to being a Hutt Pilot?

I have seen some other pilots with things like "Black Sun Pilots Helmet" and such so I am guessing these are rewards for doing Piloting missions for the Valarians or the Black Sun?

Not really. While in the smugglers alliance you'll work for the valarians in teir2, once you hit teir 3 jaba owns you.

BS ace helmet is a rare.. no not rare... it's a VERY RARE loot drop. It is not a mission reweard.

Ah... ok thank you.

I was thinking of starting a character on another server and have them work against Jabba for a change.

It's possible to be a Valarian Pilot, if you remain in tier 2 forever

As far as I know, Smuggler's Alliance is the only tree that has a change like this built in. It makes it interesting, and you know... it just gave me a good idea.

I've usually gotten one every time or every other time when doing the Havoc Tier 4 mission or the RSF Tier 4 mission.

how many do you have and how many missions have you done? just curious.

I think 6-8 missions, and I've looted 3.
