Okhere goes a newb question that i just cant seem to figure out.Does anyone know what the benefit if any to having a reactor, with alot more power than your requirements demand. I could put in a reactor that has 3K more power than what i am currently using does this help anything??

It helps when it comes time to use Overload Droid Programs, or "Emergency" Specials. Each of these things increase base power consumption and if you don't have enough power, other systems go offline.
So the answer is: In a base configuration, no. In an advanced situation, yes.

i think this may be bugged, when i use my bwing, my energy used/reactor energy looks like... 1500/1400, i go up, use reactor overload4 and i can use all of my droid commands, and i can use specials.
when i use my nova courier, at 1300/21000, i still have to use overload4 to use all of my droid commands...
so.. why waste the extra mass?

In my A-wing for example I have about a 985/1335 energy, this allows me to Engine Overload 4 on a RE's lvl6 Engines and still run cap over4 and get away with enought droid space left over to have both CtSS 3 and 4 (cap to shunt shield) along with Weap over 3.
There are 2 main areas for a pilot to learn. Flying the ship and setting up your ship. Think of yourself as an entire race car team. You have to know both to be at the top of your game. Lots to learn after reach master there is.........
