Whenever I try to put an astromech in my A-wing, I get a message that only a flight computer can be used. I tried redeeding the ship, but no luck. So I was wondering if this was a bug other people had, just a bug on my ship, or should I try buying a flight computer and using that?......

No not a bug.

X-Y-Z95's use astromechs

B and A wings use a flight computer. So Rebels end up with a set of each most of the time. FYI the flight computers do NOT count against your droid total

You need a flight computer for the A-wing. Only Z95s. X-Wings, and Y-Wings use astromechs.
