Thread: Two problems I've run into: Can't train & can't get paid!

Problem One: Got enough experience points for the 4th level of training, but now none of the trainers are offering any training! And of course I get zero experience for anything I do in space until I get trained.

Problem Two: Why does it even bother sayng you looted a credit chip from a destroyed enemy ship? I've checked my bank balance after battles, and after downing over fifty enemy ships in a sortie I ended up making ZERO credits - cash or bank account - from the mission.

The credit chip should be in your inventory. It is an actual item, til you click it and deposit it. Until you do, it just adds up in your inventory.

1. Sounds like you have not completed your Tier 4 mission yet. Just like in tier 3, prior to training Tier 4 skills you must complete a mission given to you by your Tier 4 trainer. If you are still going to the guy who gave you tier 3 training he should have given you instructions on how to find the tier 4 trainer. If you are using the tier 4 trainer now and are looking for a way to train you won't find it until after completeing at least 1 mission (it may make you complete more....).

2. Rewards for killing npc ships don't go directly into your bank account, they go into a credit chip that gets placed in your inventory. It should grow with each kill, you can transfer it to your bank via the radial menu by clicking on it. If your inventory is full it's possible the credit chip cannot be placed inside and you're just losing the money.

One: What tier are you one? With tier one you will need to complete four missions before they train you. And then you'll need to get experience points and do a few missions between skills (I like to go into space and get enough EXP for two skills for tier one before I land). Tier two you will need to do a mission then get experience points for them to train you. Tier three is completely mission-based (so you get a skill after each mission) and tier four is just like tier two.

Two: Look in your inventory. You'll have a "credit chip", which are hard credits that can be converted into credits into your bank. Every time you destroy an enemy more credits will be added to that chip.

Okay ...

#1) The trainer on Talus told me to go the trainer on Yavin IV next, which I did. When I go to him all he offers is duties (the second guy won't even talk to me), not missions. And no option to train, either. So I went to Bestin and talked to the trainer there - same deal, only duties, no missions & no training.

#2) I've only had on credit chip in my entire inventory since the day I started. Does everything go onto this one chip, or should the be multiple chips that I'm just not recieving?

Duties ARE missions.

Sometimes options to train are located under the duty option. Crazy, but true.

Or if you recently got enough xp the trainer might only offer duty at first. Just get to "no thanks, not now" or something like that, and then re-converse. The training option should pop up....

It's all in that one chip.

Maybe we should make this one sticky, because I bet a LOT of other new players have run into similar problems and would like to know how to fix it.
