Ok having to click my mouse button everytime i want to fire is getting old really fast. What happened to being able to hold the button down and having your ship fire away? Something just messed up on my end?

may be your set up. I press and hold MB1 and MB2 for either of my weapons to autofire.

Same problem here. None of my weapons has continuous firing anymore. Very, very annoying, tiring on hands and mouse and mess up my targetting/steadiness of aim.

When you are flying with Mouse/keyboard, then you probably already have your other hand on the keyboard controling Roll.
Thats how my setup is anyway, using Q and E to roll, and then my guns are on 1, 2, 3 etc.. quite easy to handle with a little practice

thats also why my ship almost always rool clockwise, heh, holding E with my indexfinger and spamming 1 and 2 with my free fingers..

Never really liked the mouse fireing, and have rebinded Right mousebutton to circle components and the third button to Circle enemy target.

works pretty well if you ask me.

Speed controls are on Macro's dropped on F1 -> F5, and Follow on F giving easy access to optimal speed and follow

all accounts cancled. im leaving this game

/whishes everyone farewell and good fortune.

Thats how mine used to be set up, id hold Mouse button 1 to fire one set and mouse button 2 to fire the other. Now all of a sudden they wont auto fire. Played around with binding the only thing i can manage to make it do is fire all my guns at once and thats not what i want.

So, I checked tonight and indeed my keyboard 1, 2, 3 keys do repeat fire the weapons, but the 3 mouse buttons will not. They used to and I sure would like them to again, as I liked the setup I was using pre cu and don't see any valid reason why keyboard input can have repeat fire finctionality and the mouse can't..

Is this on the bug list? It will be soon, if not.

Yes, this really sucked for me too.

I've bound number 1 and 2 to my keys, but I really want the mouse button auto-fire back.

I have a microsoft Sidewinder joystick that shakes when Tie fighters are shooting me.

I recommend investing in a Killer flight stick with analog capabilities.

A few questions from a newby pilot here:

1) I currently have my mouse 1 button set up to fire all weapons - Is this not desireable and if so, why? Why not bind 1, 2, or 3 of your weapons to your space bar?

2) For those of you with joysticks, are you able to move on all 3 axis' using your stick? (please keep in mind, I haven't use a joystick since my commodor 64, and it had 1 button).

I usethe saitek x-36(its an older model to the x-45 and x-52 that is out now). So i can use all three axes because i have buttons on the throttle handle that act like rudder(roll) buttons. If you get a joystick i would definitley recommend getting something similar to this joystick. I have about 20 or so programmable buttons to assign weapons, weapons groups, missles, countermeasures etc. to. I have found that whatever you get i would definitely get something that you can easily and constantly adjust your speed since your ship turns at different rates depending on how fast you go. If you can't get something to control all 3 axes then you can reconfig you joystick to roll when you go side to side rather than strafe. That way all you have to do to turn is to roll and pull back on stick. Hope this helps.
