Thread: ARC-170 rear weapons

Hi there,

Got my ARC-170 last night and immediately loaded up two guildmates and took and escort mission to test the firing arcs on the turrets. When I moved to an external view of the ship it seemed as if the turrets were locked at severe angles and I could not see them firing. The gunners reported that the turrets did move but they also couldn't see/hear each other firing.

When the first wave arrived it seemed that the rear guns couldn't actually do any damage - the hits registered graphically but didn't take anything off the opponent. The guns loaded were corellian servo turrets and a hoersch kessel scorcher. When I used the advanced blasters mounted in slot 1 I could make kills no problem.

Has anyone else had this problem, or should I do some more testing?

P.S. Got the graphics bug on the slot 1 weapons when I tried to load either of the two above weapons. When I loaded adv blasters the graphics were fine.

Den.

*bump*

Apologies for bringing this up again - tried the ship with a different weapon in the top turret last night with a different player in the seat - still the same result. Hits register graphically but no damage is done. Weapon 2 was an advanced green blaster that does 2.5k max damage, and it was firing on tier 2 ships, so it shouldhave ripped them to shreds.

Went up and flew the same mission in my old Y-wing with no problems - the gunner was quite happily blasting away.

Really want to use this ship to help guildies get xp, but they may as well be passengers in my ARC-cab.

Is this a known bug, or is it just my ship?

That's odd, just today I was in an ARC turret (the one on top) and could kill things just fine... I don't think there was a gun in the second turret though, so maybe that's it.

My Arc 170 works just fine to include the damage from both the guns in the rear. however the graphics on this ship are severely jacked up. I have a floating gun off to my right side and then when those guns fire it fires where the gun is suppose to be located. The turrets in teh back don't move properly from the pilots perspective as was stated ealier they seem locked in extreme angles

I think its to do with the s-foils.

I noticed this and had to ask my gunners to both hold down the fire button.

I found when I locked s-foils in attack mode I could see everything fine, but with them closed..nothing,

I think its a bug and I theorise that the ARC-170 maybe shouldn't be able to fire any weapons with the s-foils closed but atm, from a gunners perspective, they look like they're firing. Not sure..but thats what it seemed like.

test your turrets with 2 crafted blasters, instead of looted guns, and see how they work. There seem to be a lot of issues with them displaying properly in the ARC, and they may very well not be working correctly, due to errors in the tables.

thanks for your input- the s-foils were my first thought, but no damage was done with them closed or open.

I've used a crafted advanced green blaster in the top turret aswell as a looted weapon.

More testing is required I think - will let you know what find out.

*note* the rear guns do actually appear to move now, but stay locked at the angles when not firing.

The gun position while not firing is normal for all small turreted ships. the game just puts them at default
