Thread: Early Imp Pilot Mission Question

I recently tried the first mission you get from the Emperor's retreat. The one where you go to a waypoint find a currier ship carring rail gun parts, inspect it and are suppose to dock with it.
The problem is after I inspect him and type /dock it says he refused my request to dock. I tried killing him but it didn't work.
Anyone know what you're suppose to do here?

You might need to disable him first, target the engines using the [ and ] keys.
Check your quest journal when you're on a mission, it will usually tell you exactly what needs to be done.

You sure you have him targeted? I ran into the same prob and realized I didn't actually have him targeted.

The mission just says to inspect and dock with him. I'm pretty sure he was targeted. The inspection went well, but he refuses to dock. I'll try the engine idea. Thanks.

He just sits there any ways. There is no need disable him. You seriously need to make sure you have him targeted.I was getting the same message as you then realized I never had him targeted. I thing went on a massive /tell spree trying to find out how to target someone on your mission. I think it was either shift + ' or ctrl + '
It's in the manual that comes with JTL though. Like I said though, there is no need to disable him.

are you sure about not disabling him? i'v never been allowed to dock with a enemy ship that was not disabled
