1. It is entirelly possible, by /duel or declare at faction spacestations.
2. There are 3 starting trainers for imperial pilots, you can find them in the Pilot FAQ stickied up there (it is highly recommended to read anyways). Note that you have to drop neutral pilot skills and say good bye to your free scyk, but you will get a free T/F instead.

I have mainly been a ground player since I bought the game two weeks ago. However, I got my first ship free of charge from the guy in the cantina on tatooine and ever since I tried it out ive been thinking of building my piloting.
The questions that I have are...
1.) Is it possible to be neutral and PvP in space? Or can you pilot neutral craft and do PvP at all?
2.) Where can I find an imperial pilot trainer and does he supply me with a craft to fly?
