Apologies for asking such a noob question being a master pilot and all but..
If you are grouped in a POB or ARC/Krayt and the person who is sat in the gunner seat has a mission.. do you get the mission spam and waypoints sent to your screen as well or is it a matter of relying on the mission owner to shout out directions etc?
I've grouped with lots of pilots to help them do duty missions but I usually just follow them around in my firespray and help them take out the harder ships, covering them while they escort or dock etc. but never in a POB / Gunboat.

My main account is a smuggler's alliance ace pilot, and I have an alt who I have been trying to run through Corsec, and as such, I have discovered a few things about multiplayer ships (I have a Krayt, a YT-1300, and an ARC-170).
1) and to answer your main question, no, if you're the pilot and your gunner has a mission, you do not see the waypoints, you only get the mission spam, so your gunner will have to give you directions.
2) if the mission calls for the missionholder to dock with anything, he/she cannot complete the mission as a gunner in a multi-player ship. The gunner may initiate docking procedure, but when docking is completed, a system message indicates that the pilot has completed the docking procedure, rather than the gunner.

Ah fiddlesticks
Was hoping to get my alt and my wife's char through rebel pilot by just bundling them both in my ARC hehe.
I guess it could work for some missions (could make sure I could see my alts screen for wayp) but any /dock missions I'd have to do the old "stick ship on follow" way.
Thanks for the help.

To get my alt into the Etyyy hunting grounds, I set her ship on autopilot to the waypoint and then escorted it with my main. Only twice during that mission did her ship ever even get hit. It's a tactic to think about.
