Alright......I took this mission, so I can get trained with the 200k xp I have, and I'm having (what appears to be) similar problems, with no real answer.

I talk to Viopa, get the mission. Launch, fly to the WP, nothing. Fly around, finally find a spawn of TIE's and a Lambda.

Destroy the TIE fighter escort, disable the Lambda. Do an "inspect" and all I get is "self destruct initiated".I can dock, but all I get is a message that I failed to download cargo, or some such.

Wash, rinse, repeat, 20 times last night. I was at this for 6 freakin' hours, and STILL fail the mission.

I have found spawns right near the Imp space station, others within 1000m of the WP, still others dang near on top of the WP, but NONE of them complete the mission.

Search is broken (again), so I can't find any old game guides for this, to find out what I'm doing wrong.

Saying I'm frustrated is sortof like saying Godzilla is the Geico lizard..............what the heck am I missing???

This mission might be bugged. You might ask for help from a higher level havoc squadron guy to escort you on a mission, to see if they can find the shuttle. I'd help you, but I'm on kettemoor.

Looks like a few of us are haveing the same problem.Maybe if we keep these pose bumped they will do something about it.

Good luck. There are soooo many bugs right now, I just don't know. But, hey, they fixed candles thank goodness

ok heres what I did, although I am hearing alot of stories that this mission is now bugged since the last update.

Once you locate the lambda, target and disable its engine and/or reactor.

Then /inspect, whilst taking some damage from the TIE's. I'm not sure if its important but I didn't engage the TIEs at all once I started to inspect and dock.

Once inspection complete I hit the IFF transponder to cool the TIE's down and then /dock

After a few seconds I got the item "transferred" and then finished off the TIE's.

Not sure if this is any help but good luck anyway.

I helped a friend do this mission just nowand it seems to be like the master pilot vette mission where if you do not kill everything, the next wave won't spawn.

Essentially, I found an elite guard tie interceptor, which I destroyed and then the shuttle started to appear regularily and quite faste at the given waypoint. I saw it appear once, hyper out and a few seconds later, a new one spawned. We disabled the second one and completed the mission.

Just don't forget to kill all fighter escorts (elite guard TIEs) to avoid bugging the next person that tries that mission.

One other thing the spawns your finding may not be "yours". Also there have been some problems with getting to the wp faster than the system thinks you should, which messes up the spawn.
