I am flying the Y wing. So only the 2nd player can fire my 2nd weapon eh?
There is no way to switch between the two weapons?

If you pull them out and put them into each other's slots, that will do it. Otherwise, no. Once you get to 2xxx, you'll be allowed to fly a Y-wing Longprobe, in which you can use both weapons by yourself.

Two things can be the cause.
1, the weapon is not in the "default" weapon group. Press "G" (default) and check what weapon is in which weapon group.
2, you dont have enough power to use the weapon, check the power or run "Reactor overload" program
those would be ny guesses.
you can also make sure the keymapping, look if you "fire and circle" weapons.
You can circle by pressing "Shift+fire (left mouse)" this way you should see the weapon name appear in the rightside of the screen, by the ship infobar.

Ugh thanks, looks like I will have to get the Longprobe ASAP. Each of the two weapons have different piercing ability vs shield and armor. I was hoping to cycle between the two in space with my Y wing. (Haven't found a good combination level 3 weapon yet that possess decent piercing ability in both shield and armor on my server)

I can't get the 2nd weapon to fire...Whats the default key? what category is it, weapon 2?
Ordinance aka missiles seem to shoot when I select weapon 2....

Try pressing mouse 1 and holding it down, this works for me. If not maybe your ship allows 2 weapons but only one to be fired at a time. I think theree is a scrreren for swapping if you press "H"

If it's not a turreted fighter, check your grouping, and you might also check out your keymap assignments(in the Options window).
