Im having a little trouble mining and was hoping you all could help. I appraoch what I want to mine and blast away with my mining laser but nothing breaks off. Ive tried various rocks and ranges. Ive spend several mintues blasting away and nothing. Can anyone help me out? Id appreciate it.

Pull up your space map and autopilot to one of the asteroids listed under th POI list for that space zone. Try shooting and if you still don't get any mid size chunks that break off then that particular asteroid has "dried up" due to someone else recentlymining it. You can either move on to the next Asteroid listed on the POI list or you can stay and keep blasting that one for several minutes until it explodes and respawns again. At that point the chunks will break off when you fire at it.
