Thread: Reb station vs. Star destroyer

Okay in deep space the rebel station gives around a 800k credit chip and a inventory of loot, while the star destroyer only gives a 10-15k credit chip and no loot. Whats up with that? Players are taking both out with about the same amount of effort so whats the prob here. The pay-outs need to be comparable, regardless what it is.

Does anyone else agree? or am i missing something?

BTW- Does anyone know what the respawn time is on these 2?

I have never done either yet, as I am only a Alliance Pilot 4443, but from reading some other threads it sounds like what you say is true. I wonder if we can get an alliance or freelance pilot who has ACTUALLY destroyed a StarDestroyer to confirm this for us. Got any Imps out there with some hard facts to contribute? I'm with Skuzz, maybe if we can throw around some real information and maybe some screenshots to back up our theory we'll catch the eye of SOE and get this fixxed.

Its really dumb that the imps get so much more the rebel station is just as difficult as the SD to destory and a SD is a lot bigger rebels should get teh same lvl of loot.

If anything I would say the SD sounds about right on loot amount and the SOE needs to seriously consider checking the Reb station sounds like someone went zero crazy on teh numbers for it.

It could be a bug, but I doubt it. Devs really don't know what they're doing when it comes to loot.

Nothing against the poster, but shouldnt the real question be, 'Why are the Space Station and/or ISD solo-able?' Shouldn't these things have massive fighter support and require large groups to take down? Then I can see them dishing out 800k-1m credit chips (somehow splitting them to each group memeber of course).

Killed the ISD a couple of times. No loot, small credits.

What i really hate about the rebel Freedom Station is not the junk loot or the money you get, btw money is not 800k-1M range is a 150k-800k range ( i was able to hit the lower end when i got it), but the fact that you get a total ammount of 0 faction points!

Yes, yo u get no faction for blowing up that sucker. Credits are not the only thing ppl is looking for, i don't need tens of millions to be abele to play the game.

So there is no really reward for getting the station down, all you will get is just some credits and alot of junk loot, but not a single fp, while you can get alot more faction points for killing fighters, novas or gunboats (Corvettes again are a waste of time, sane faction of a nova!)

Rebel station really bugged,

Just facts:

- reward from 20k to 980k

- respawn time- 1 min

- rebel station attacks rebel ships if they casually get on it

- no decay in deep space

- have blind spots near all critical components

- time to take down in solo - 3 min

Now simply count incomes in credits and tell "Amen".

This is has been reported in /bug and bugs threads... nobody cares.

Have you tried declaring overt before going into deep space? I didn't think you had to, but the only way I get FP in deep space is if I fly to a station and declare overt before going to deep space.

I agree i hat the fact that i can solo a SD in anything (done it in almost all rebel ships and a firespray now) unless the devs are going to fix that they should make the reward the same.

I'vesoloed the Freedom Station (aid from bomber strike, to be explained)... Sure there ARE blind spots, but what is the fun in that, besides there should be a heavy risk in attacking it. You can zerg it by respawning but that is impractical. The best way to do so is by charging in at it and boosting out... and yes... About every 3 minutes a few gunboats and a fighter escort spawn or a corvette spawns, so they will often attack you. I only received 79,000 credits for killing it however, and it took me about 15 minutes, but the loot was pitiful: lowest was level 2 and highest was level 5, got 6 pieces of it. You cannot bomber strike it directly, but by waiting for a corvette to spawn, if you bomberstrike that it will take the attention of about 75% of its guns for around 2-3 minutes until its out of range.

However... 23 Guns versus the 80+ on the ISD seems a bit funny to me, although the ISD is like 20 times larger so i guess its alright.

First, bomber strike cant directly attack rebel station. They just say you "not authorised to attack this object".You can use them casually on nearest rebel spacecrafts, then you get good effect.

Also you can find some tricks with rebel stationand nearest rebel spaceships.

Second, there are all needed blind spots to blow station without any risk. Try, try and you see...

Third, reward in middle about 450-500k. About 6-7mils in hour if no opposite faction players near.

This is estimate after 100+ rebel station kills.

English is not my native.. so sometimes hard to explain something.
