Well, figured out the answer to question 4. through some snooping around. You can only be in one at a time it would seem. So what about after you master one, can you go on to work on the next? But still retain your certifications and badges?

It would appear that the founder of the pilot's guild will not let you change groups either .. hmm. Still taking answers though, I am interesting in hearing what others have to say about all this.

1: No, a privateer may not fly the master ship on an imp or a rebel (and so on), even if they have that badge. You must be an active master of the ships faction to fly it. When you surrender any Master/Ace box, you lose the certs it grants. No cert=No Fly

2: No, you may only be a mmeber of one squadron at a time. It is my understanding of Privateer that your ship is not dictated by your squadron. I.E. if you are flying for BlackSun you still fly a Scyk in tier 1 (or wherever it certs)

3: You may begin playing a faction and then change that faction at any time by surrendering your pilot skills and anything esle required (resigning from GCW faction with recruiter and so on). Only when you are ground neutral (or ground allied with thefaction you will fly for)with no pilot skills may you join another faction to fly for. So, in my case I am going to get all 9 badges. I am currently Ground Imperial/Inquisitor. When I fly the rebel squadrons I will surrender my current pilot skills and resign from the empire in the ground game. I will also probably have to do something about my -5000 Rebel Faction total

Technically you can do all 9 squadrons no matter your faction alignment and not change sides. As an imperial you only need to have postive rebel faction to join the rebel squadrons. One of the rebel squadrons requires you to go through the rebel themepark for which you must be a rebel to do. IF you have already done the rebel themepark, you can still walk through it as an imp and talk to the pilot recruiters. All of this applies to rebels doing the imperial squadrons as well.

Had a dialoge with another player last night, and we have both heard different things concering the pilot profession over all. So I decided to take it upon myself to write a post and get some real answers from people who know.

  1. Because the pilot profession does not have skill points like the ground game, is it possible (with no life, and a good pizza delivery service) to master all three pilot professions and then use your (coincidentally) three slots for your three master ships? Basically a triple master.

  2. Is it possible, with the many privateer factions, to play more than one mini faction at once, with a different ship? Fly for either the hutts, black sun, Naboo whosits, etc.? And can you leave with your xp level in the middle of a grind, buy a different ship and talk to a different NPC and jump ship (no pun inteneded). For instance you only like the tier 3 ship in the hutt, but you want to get the tier 4 for the black sun. Or can you only play as one? If you start flying for one group you get certification for that line of ships. But can you change to the other line of ships?

  3. Say you start playing a faction, like rebel for instance, you cannot change your mind and start playing imperial. You have to be one or the other, correct? So this is different than the privateer where you have only ONE choice.

  4. Can you play privateer and imperial? Or privateer and rebel? I don't mean being overt, I mean grinding through the ship chassis certificate line.

Thanks, for answers.

Right .. so the you can't own a YT, an x-wing, or a tie at the same time and fly each ot them. obviously not the x-wing and tie because of the faction, but still you can't own and fly either and a neutral ship at the same time?
