Thread: declaring overt rebel as a nuetral pilot messed up
Hopefully that helps.

Im rebel on the ground, and master privateer in space. Whenever i enter deepspace i am forced to declare as rebel from the space station before entering. Which is how it should be in my opinion. I believe that if you dont declare until you are about to enter deepspace that you can do it there right before going in. if you are neither faction on the ground youll have your choice as to who you side with. Otherwise youll be forced to side with yer ground faction if you have one.
Hopefully that helps.
ok your missing the point I'm rebel on the ground nuetral in space. would like to get faction while in space which means you have to declare at a rebel/imperial station once you do that as a nuetral pilot you can no longer get to deepspace and going to deepspace without declaring means you get no faction while you are there.

Yeah, I just found this out and am a little disappointed that I cannot enter Deep Space declared. I hope they do change this as I would rather stay freelance in space. And, as was stated, choosing a side on the way into deep space is not the same as getting declared at a rebel space station. I assume this is only a problem with freelance rebels, or is there some block to freelance imperials getting into deep space?

Yeah im confused now. I thought for sure that when i entered deepspace (declaring rebel on my way thru the door), that i got faction while in deepspace. Im wondering if visiting a seperate station to declare "before" going to the station to enter deepspace is messing things up for ya.
if you visit a seperate station and declare prior to going to deepspace you won't be able to get into deepspace at all since the nuetral staion will no longer talk to you once your declared and the rebel deepspace station requires 30k of Rebel pilot prestige which we can't get.
they would face the same problems the rebels freelance pilots have in this regard.

if you master rebel first, THEN go master privateer that might be a work around if you keep your rebel prestige when you lose rebel pilot...
no once you drop a pilot tree it takes all skills, extra xp, and prestige from you completely.
