Im rebel on the ground, and master privateer in space. Whenever i enter deepspace i am forced to declare as rebel from the space station before entering. Which is how it should be in my opinion. I believe that if you dont declare until you are about to enter deepspace that you can do it there right before going in. if you are neither faction on the ground youll have your choice as to who you side with. Otherwise youll be forced to side with yer ground faction if you have one.

Hopefully that helps.

ok your missing the point I'm rebel on the ground nuetral in space. would like to get faction while in space which means you have to declare at a rebel/imperial station once you do that as a nuetral pilot you can no longer get to deepspace and going to deepspace without declaring means you get no faction while you are there.

Yeah, I just found this out and am a little disappointed that I cannot enter Deep Space declared. I hope they do change this as I would rather stay freelance in space. And, as was stated, choosing a side on the way into deep space is not the same as getting declared at a rebel space station. I assume this is only a problem with freelance rebels, or is there some block to freelance imperials getting into deep space?

Yeah im confused now. I thought for sure that when i entered deepspace (declaring rebel on my way thru the door), that i got faction while in deepspace. Im wondering if visiting a seperate station to declare "before" going to the station to enter deepspace is messing things up for ya.

if you visit a seperate station and declare prior to going to deepspace you won't be able to get into deepspace at all since the nuetral staion will no longer talk to you once your declared and the rebel deepspace station requires 30k of Rebel pilot prestige which we can't get.

they would face the same problems the rebels freelance pilots have in this regard.

Imperials have the same problem. I'm a ground Imp/space privateer and tried all the same things last night with no success. Needs to be fixed for all of us--I like being PVP-enabled in Deep Space, but we should see the same reward other pilots do when we're taking the same risks. (Which I suppose is none, without decay.. but you get the point.)

I concur. Privateer should be able to faction-farm in space. You are taking the same risk by declaring...

Ok I have a 2nd toon that i made Mstr Privateer took him today overt rebel and proceeded to attempt toenter deepspace.

1st went to the rebel station declared

2nd went to rebel deepspace station response Sorry you don't have enough prestige (meaning rebel prestige duh i'm a privateer pilot)

3rd went to nuetral deepspace station response Sorry we don't talk to rebels

this is totally messed upas a nuetral you can't declare before going to deepspace. this needs to be fixed since one of the main reasons for going to deepspace is faction. and if you can't declare and get into deepspace you cant get faction.

if you master rebel first, THEN go master privateer that might be a work around if you keep your rebel prestige when you lose rebel pilot...

I've been to deep space once, and TBH as a privateer I will not be going to deep space again!

I can't getfaction pointsand my ship is bugged after vising it..

Devs please;

a) ensure that privateers who declare at the Last Nav Station get faction points like Rebels/Imperials do

b) remove the bug that sets your chassis to that faction when entering Deep Space

Would have preferred this fixed than a new ship tbh .. but I'm sure a fix is on it's way.

no once you drop a pilot tree it takes all skills, extra xp, and prestige from you completely.
