Just thought since I had not seen anyone post a message focusing on this, i thought i ought to.
The last tier 4 mission requires you to go to Kessel and destroy 30 enemy ships as we know... what i found out is that when a grouped friend/wingman destroys a ship, it goes to the total count of ships killed... my good friend (who is also a teir4 privateer), and myself got this done in just around 30 minutes.
So when you receive this mission, bring friends...
Thought i'd let you know... if everyone else knew about this from other posts, i'm sorry for inconveniencing ya

It's been mentioned, I think....But not apparantly public knowledge.
I heard about it...but never proved it myself.....I'm on that mission, but the Smuggler's Alliance version is kicking my butt hard. The Second phase...CorSec Gunboat is evil.

I just finished my Tier 4 fourth box mission (for rebel), and now I went to see the Admiral on Corellia. I'm just wondering what I'm in store for? I'm pretty sure the "kill the 30 ships in Kessel" mission is what I'm on now, but I haven't tried it out yet. What's after that? Do I just have to do a few missions, and I'm ready to take the Corvette? Or do I have to finish the missions and grind 7.5 Million XP like the box says? If it's the latter....what's the best way to go about this?

Heh yea foudn this out last week. A friend took 2 of us out with him right near the end we had a mishapp and he found himself with no guns (damaged) and a engine that took some hits. he was basically dead in teh water and was bummed that he was goign to have to start over when he only had 4 left. and low and behold after killing another he got credit. so we finished off the last 3 for him before he ejected.

We took a group of 9 out, where 5 of them needed the 30 kills - it was pretty fast paced and cool to see the counts fly by every time we'd kill one off.
Didn't take us long at all.
The vette is simple too, just remember to have a Freelance pilotdo the lead bombing run before you get aggroed.
He just has to knock the shield components out with an IFF between them, die and let the rest disable the engines and reactor while that freelance pilot repairs to come back and handle any other objectives left over while the rest return from repairs. Let the master mission takers finish the Bridge off to get credit. Ignore the support ships and weapons completely on the vette and you're home free - Kamikazee style. Just be sure to wait for the bridge assault til all the mission takers are ready to fire at once.
Solo-ing the vette is fun too after you Master, too bad it doesn't drop some coolloot.

You just need to be near the vette and have landed a blow on any part of the ship to get credit.
My First master I just fired to Missiles at it.
My Second master I used missiles to take out both Shields, Engine and Reactor.
I never fired a shot at the bridge on either vette run

And why would a freelance pilot agree to suicide when any decent group of pilots can easily take it out without dieing. Also don't agree at all about ignoring the support craft. You've got plenty of time to kill these other ships while you're shields regen from bombing runs.

hehe - I thought about that after I posted it.
This is just my method, and I use it more to solicit sales of Master level ships and parts as a shipwright - I fear no decay, as it costs me next to nothing. I also need no fighter support, so it works well for small groups. I started usingthis methodafter seeing many fail by not getting the Vette disabled, and it hypering away starting another 2 hour wait. That's frustrating to anyone involved and usually means you need to find another group again as most can't wait for the next spwan.
The pleasure and gratitude I get from helping others is a huge reward to me too.
We did 7 Masters in one run once, wow was that a busy night for me afterwards. I must have made 20million credits decking out B-wings, Nova's and YT's in a few hours. I'm at 40 Masters made now and counting - over half of them are still steady customers.
I completed my own Master usingone rebel wingman in a Longprobe. I had my Rishxyrk. The feeling of two of us taking it out alonewas pretty cool.

I used to use the Rihxyrk with Space Bomb 1s, and it sometimes took two passes on one component - but directed blaster fire will usually do the trick.
Then I started using the Riohxyrk or my YT with Space Bomb 2s.
Now I'll probably use my Krayt as the incredible maneuverability and extra mass is going to keep me alive and no longer make it a Kamikazee death wish with this method.
