I get the [player_utility]:cannot_manipulate

I get it with different components on different ships. Right now I cant add my Class2 mining laser, tractor beam or large cargo hold to my Tie Bomber. On other ships it is different things. Any idea on how to get my stuff to work on the ships I want them to?

I just realized that those components are not actually in my inventory. I had them and they are now stored in my yacht. I had to pull them out and bring them back down. This is wierd, am i not supposed to keep ship components in my yacht? All the parts that are in my yacht come up as available to use on the manage screen for my ships. Is this a known bug?

I see the same thing. I think it happens because your yacht is a container that is (sort of) on you. I too use the Space Whale as a floating closet. *shrug*
