Well, not really... I am using my alt (currently Neutral) to get the JSF then returning him to Neutral Status...

Using my Rebel main to get the Arc-170 and hoping to transfer both ships between them (of course using a friend as a transfer method).

First of all, you need to complete the quest in order to use the ship. I'm dong this, but I was only -1700 in Imperial faction. After more than an hour running missions with my bro, I'm now positive in Imp faction and Reb faction. Time to join the Empire for a few days.

Let me know if it works and you can do the quest for BOTH the Jedi starfighter and arc 170

I did it, just spent the 520K for faction to change to Imperial. Now I'm rebel again just grinding so I can use the Jedi Starfighter.

That was pretty much the point of cross-certing them. You have to make a choice, but if you make the choice and do the work you should get rewarded. With 6 ship slots, and some friends (if you really wanted to finish the final mission) it would be easy as pie to prep a grinding ship, drop pilot, switch sides, get the ship, then go back. Doing your regrind in a pimped out heavy Z95 as an overt would be easy, and get you most of your ranks back.

I wouldn't be surprised to see people who wanted to cross-droparranging delegations of faction to make the switches easier.Got an Imperial friend? sure its less likely he'd want the ARC, but you never know, give him rebel fp to get to 200 and he gives you imp to get to 200. Cheesy, but workable under the current system sadly.
