im 3333 freelance and mainly going to pvp so should i go rebel pilot insted?

Err...Why? I think the Nova Courier is better than the YT-1300 because of the interior. I like having more custom looks for my ships (more effects via textures than Freelancer). But that's all there is to my particular choice.

When it comes to PvP strengths and weaknesses, all three pilot affiliations have their own different strengths and weaknesses. Any decision based on equipment would be more a personal choice of strength/weakness. And unless I'm mistaken, there's no relevant difference between the different affiliations in who they can attack. Cept maybe the whole overt/covert system, which I feel is nonsense. Faction should = attackable anywhere, anytime with Freelancer offering protection from PvP via choice. Otherwise, what's the point of declaring yourself a particular faction?

Why drop it? finish it then decide.

I have already been:

Master Rebel Pilot

Master Smuggler Alliance Pilot

Currently 4333 Royal Security Forces Pilot

I'm trying every pilot profession out, as I want to try out all the missions, then I will pick the one I want. Of course the good thing about doing multiple masters is xp is multiplied by the number of masters + 1

So 1 Master Pilot Prof = xp * 2

2 Master Pilot Profs = xp * 3

So right now a Tier 5 Gunboat is worth 100k in xp to me

I dropped Master Freelance almost as soon as I got it. Figured the Krayt would be good... WRONG. All it is, is a Rihkxyrk with 20k more mass and a turret. And turrets are useless in combat.

I went up the CorSec path to Master Pilot and enjoyed it. I got a bit bored so I dropped it all and started a Rebel path and have been missing Freelance ever since. Kessel is wonderful as a neutral and a pain as a faction. Freelance ships get more mass than most others, and YPR is one of the things the Pilot has the most control of, so I didn't mind my Rihk being a little slower to turn than other higher level ships. The 190k mass more than made up for the sluggishness.

I was able to solo a corvette without a death as a Freelancer. I don't think I'll be doing that as a Rebel.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this... I took my Krayt out last night... this bad boy packs 3 weapons w/o the turret so in firepower it packs as much as the Rizijghjuhdfoiuhgalug but when you have a buddy you get even more punch. As for speed it's faster, same engine got me about 40 more for top speed, and it's more maneurvable. All in all I love it (almost as much as my firespray), but it's ugly as all get out.

In PvP speed counts, Freelancer missses fast ships.

3 Weapons are great in PvM, yes.
