First, two quick stupid question, what's the maximum amout of ships you can have and does the Vet ship count?

Also, I was wondering what you Alliance Aces would reccomend as having since there is a limited amount.

You can 'have' as many ships as you would like, although I will assume you are talking about in your Datapad. I understand that you can have up to 3 ships in your datapad. The rest of your ships can be in post blueprint or 'pill' form.

The best thing for you to do would be to simply fly and figure out your playstyle. I know of a few master pilots that enjoy X-Wings, a few that fly Y-Wing Longprobes a few that enjoy A-Wings and even some that wouldn't mind taking people out in a Two-Seater Y-Wing.

In the end, it doesn't matter what other people are piloting, what matters is what you enjoy piloting and what you have fun piloting.

I enjoy my Xwing the most out of my Alliance fighters at Ace. Tho if I'm going on a run to help someone take out the corvette I'll take the LongProbe and load it up with two mark 2 space bomb launchers.

Agreed. Forget what other people are doing. Find what works for you.

When my Alt eventually makes Master, he will have the Nova Crapper, X-Wing, and a Y-Wing most likely. Might swap out for the A-Wing once in a while tho.

My my main eventually makes master, it will be YT-1300, Krayt, and that Tier 4 Rhikxyrk or however it's spelled.

I have an X-Wing and a Firespray. I know the FS can be a financial reach for a lot of people but that's the ship that I'm flying most of the time. Even for PvP.

My ship has changed a lot since I first got it, tweaking it out with a lot of REd components and using several droid commands make it a dream to fly and fight in. The two guns can be a bit hard to get on target but when they do hit, they pack a punch and I can hold down the trigger and fire indefinitely with capacitor overload 3. Holds missles and spacebombs for attacking larger targets and heavy shields along with capacitor to shield shunt 4, I can stay in the fight longer and recover quicker. With a 101 spd engine, that I'm still working on getting REd, along with engine overload 3 gives me very good manueverability. Can keep up with even the nimblist of tier 5 ships.

The only advatages I have with my X-Wing is even more manuverablily and more firepower to take down targets even quicker, but at the cost of less defensive capability with my current loadout. They are both very capable. I tend to use my X-Wing more if I am loot hunting since I can go through tier 3/4 static spawns very fast.

My third slot is currently being taken my my yacht, which I hardly ever use. I really wish that the devs would just remove the lot for this ship. Even if they did, the only other ship I think I would get would be a Nova, but since there are still so many bugs with MP ships and they are so crew dependant for combat, I'm in no hurry to get one.

EXACTLY!

there is nothing you cant do in an awing. while it may not kill gunships as quickly, it can still do it. but when was the last time you saw someone fly there bwing into a group of 10 tier5 tie-ints and come out unscathed? id rather fly the ship that can do it all than one that is good for one thing and terrible at all the rest.

I'm only 3/4/3/3 atm, but I love my X Wing and don't plan to give it up. Its outfitted nicely, mostly with level 7 and below components. Doubt it'll see higher level components, unless I find some really nice stuff that it can handle, but I love it just the same. I almost always fly as part of a team, though. I'm usually with my rl husband (he's 4/4/4/3 freelance pilot) or with guildies, so it works for me.

As for other ships, I'm not sure what I'll end up with. Right now, I also have a Y Wing Longprobe, that's outfitted better than my X Wing, but I don't use it often and may deed it, depending on whatother ships I find I like better along the way. My 3rd ship will probably be an A wing when I qualify for it. I may try the B wing eventually, but not sure if I'll get a Nova Courier or not (other than if I get one just to have one). Multiplayer ships seem to be more trouble than their worth from what I've read and what I've seen with a guildie and his YT. My account isn't 6 months old yet, so I don'thavea yacht to worry about taking up space in my datapad.

Basically, I agree with the other posters. It all comes down to your own personal preference and style. Try all that you're able to, financially, and see what you like. For me so far, its all about my X wing. From the way it looks to the way it fights,I love that ship.
