Just curious to know if anyone dropped there Ace from whichever pilot faction/sqad to start another and checked to see if they could use there existing Prestige to go to deep space even if there not Ace. I could see a major advantage to this as you could get good xp quickly grouped up with a friend in Deep Space.

You lose ALL of your prestige as well as any "Starfighter Combat Experience" when you drop master. You start the new squadron like a total newb (with the exception of the Master Pilot XP bonus)

Well, I guess you could if the station will talk to you - but since there are 3 types of Prestige Points: Rebel Prestige, Imperial Prestige and plain ole Prestige - I doubt it.

That sucks. Figured I could drop my current squad and do another squad in same faction and be able to use my prestige but I guess prestige is really a useless xp. Oh well thanks for the quick response.
