Holy crap... The third mission working for Jabba in the Smuggler's Alliance Pilot quest is nuts. I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at flying a ship but I can't take having 14+ ships shooting the crap out of me at once.
How did you guys do it? I heard using that scrambler thing helps, and I wish now that I had chosen that skill at my last training. I don't have it right now. Can player pilots train other pilots, like other skills?

*scratches head* I honestly think I slept through that mission. I found Jabba's missions rather easy...
Wait, that's the one where you have to hook up with the Imp shuttles, transfer the data? I thought that one was easy... or was that a differnt one?
And no, a Pilot can't train another pilot in any skills.
All I can recomend is this:
Use Weapons Cap Overload (Privateer Program)
Use Weapon Overload (Imp Program)
Have the best damage/penitration guns you can get (I prefer blasters over Disruptors and Ions)
Disable, don't kill. If you kill, more tend to spawn, disable, and you can go back for them.
If all else fails, find a damn good capacitor and shield, and use the Cap to shield Privateer program (after having cap overload running)

Any mission that seems to hard, get a wingman, it helps and it is soo much more fun flying with a wingman. You will want to fly with one all the time, being all alone and getting in a tight spot sucks, a wingman is the way to go.

I suck as a pilot, and ended up taking a few friends. Best way I found was to go balls out, full booster towards the waypoints. It seems the more of them you kill, the more of them show up. My friends took care of almost all of the bad guys. fun little mission, and some of the Imp dialouge is funny as well. good luck.

To pass this mission, just follow the objectives and don't bother with the enemies. Fullspeed to the mission target, dock, and run to the next target - repeat cycle until the end of the mission. If you feel you*must* fight the ships, make sure you only disable the last few as their deaths trigger the next wave and the number of ships in each wave seems to increase as time goes on.
The only time I had to deviate a little from this is when a couple of gunships popped in with the wave. I just arced around them to avoid their aggro and went on to the next mission target. All-in-all, I'd say I actually destroyed maybe 8 ships total that entire mission.
I would suggest using a heavier ship (Kimo/Rihk) for the mission as you will want the extra mass for sheilds and armor to protect you while you are docking. If you try fighting the ships before you dock, you might quickly find yourself overwhelmed. Another big help is the Imp Engine Overload program for that extra boost of speed to help you get to your objectives faster. The new Privateer programs might help out a lot too (can't say for sure as I passed this one before the progs were avaialble)if you have a capacitor with a large amount of energy. Use the Capacitor Overload to boost it even more and then just use Cap-Shield Shunt to reinforce your shields if you start to take too much damage while docking.
I hope this helps.

Man, just tried it again with a friend and it was still just insanely bad. each waypoint was less than 700m away from the previous and everytime i got to the waypoint 3-4 more ships would appear, along with the ones they we were disabling. I really wish I had the IFF Scrambler, but I havn't trained that yet. I think I just need to try it with a group of guys. This is nuts.

I think that is the one where you can just jump within system to avoid the waves of fighters? There are definatly none with 14 fighters all at once unless you have support.
