Thread: Grievous Fighter and who can use it

I need some confirmation on this from the intrepid pilots out there who are just as proficient on the ground: who, exactly, can use the Grievous Fighter? Do you need to complete the quest, or can anyone at all deed and fly the ship?

I'm pretty confident you're supposed to have to complete the quest to be able to fly it, but with bugs on basically every new ship and conflicting reports from the trade forums where these are selling regularly, I could really use some concrete info on how it's working in-game right now.

Thanks guys.

I heard only freelancers can fly it. And you do need to have done the quest in order to generate the ship, so not everyone with the deed can fly it.

Is that secondhand information, or have you tested it yourself? Or know someone who has? I think you're right--or at least that's how it's supposed to be working--but I really need some firsthand test results, if you've got 'em. Thanks for the reply.

No offense, Tomo - but the Devs didn't tell you all this information beforehand?

I mean, one would think "Tell Pilot and Shipwright Correspondent full details on certs and quests for new ships their communities will be bugging them mercilessly about" would be *somewhere* on a "To Do" list.

Well, it would be rather foolish of me to be offended by something I happen to agree with.

That's all kind of irrelevant anyway, though, because I'm not so much interested in how it's supposed to work as how it's actually working. I'd test it myself, but as it turns out, non-Jedi have little chance against a level 92 mob, even in groups of 8.

T,

My buddy Grin gave me one today. We are both Imps. I didn't even do the mission. He just gave me the deed and then I pimped it out and flew it around...

I am a rebel and someone gave me the deed. I activated the deed and flew it around. It is bugged in that it cannot be redeeded. This needs to change so that I can store it in the bank or something otherwise I will fill up all 6 slots just doing quests. I need my flexibility

Does this apply to the ARC-170 and Jedi Starfighter too?

arc-170 currently isnt flyable by anyone.. the jedi starfighter requires you to have atleast completed the quest (confirmed) but after doing the imperial quest you can return to rebel/nuetral status and continue to fly it.

But if you're Rebel going Imp on the ground, does itaffect your piloting profession, say if you're Rebel Ace?

If you're a Rebel pilot, you can't quit the faction untill you quit being a Rebel pilot, the closest you can get to Imperial is to be Rebel Pilot On Leave.
