Thread: another question :: components vs ship type
always upgrade components first... because your not just takeing "one" step up in performance. But "two" steps up. there is a huge difference between a lvl7 crafted blaster and a lvl5 crafted blaster. and an even bigger gap between an RE4 looted blaster and an RE6 looted blaster. Same thing with shields/engines ex.
I personaly flew the dunelizard to 4/4/3/3
thanks for both the comments. depending how the missions go i'll see what I do. Those higher compoents really are calling me though.

Keeping Score one Rebel at a Time
See how your first T3 quest goes, and decide from there. If the mission was easy for you, go for the ship as you probably don't need better gear just yet. If you have a lot of trouble, the upgrades in equipment will help.
The TIE Interceptor is fast and agile, and should let you fit better equipment in it. For rebel and freelance squadrons the advice is usually to get equipment before ships. For Imperials, I'd recommend ships over equipment (because of the mass limitations).
With RotW out, you might look for the heavy version of the TIE and use that instead, then you can take the component box first.
In the end, it's not really make or break if you take the wrong box.
