I'm trying to dock with the nym cannon ship after inspection for the second tier corsec mission and it keeps saying ship denies request to dock . I try disableing the sucker and end up destroying it each time.

Am I just not getting it or what? Please Help!

I can't remember if you have to dock with this ship or not.

There are two types of capture missions.
1. You disable the vessel (taking out the engine is best for this) and then /dock with it.

2. You disable the vessel (again, hit the engines) and wait for the ship to be captured. There'll be mission text spamming across your screen, telling you what's happening.

If all else fails, check your journal.

some mission requires you to inspect the ship to make sure they have the proper item or document in it before you can dock it.. when inspection comes up positive, you will get:

"inspection result [a document] - you found what you needed! press u or type /dock to dock with this ship"

or something to that effect

you may have to repeatedly inspect and destroy ships until one that spawns with the document finally shows up

I toyed with this last night. Did the same darn thing.

You need to "inspect" the ship and then the mission continues with NPCs capturing the thing. Then you just escort it out.

you need to target specific systems ie: engines,reactor, etc... by pressing either [ or ]. A message will tell you when it is disabled.
