SO I'm still a little fuzzy on the ship decat thing. What is the best way to monitor your decay? Do you only decay on repair?

Where is decay listed?

Iirc, every 10 point repaired you get 1 point decay.

a guildie said is your repair 25/25/50 or something like that that it helps over getting a full repair.

Yes, this will eliminate decay from lvl 4 overloads, provided you don't have additional damage from combat..
