All valid reasons.

I guess the thing I always felt about the Heavy TIE, since I'm rebel therefore flying against them at times is the large profile. I tend to take advantage of that and often fly a lot more aggressively rather than defensively when faced with a Heavy TIE. There is no denying that the Heavy TIE [along with the Syck and Z-95] are rather large targets. Got to admit though..the time I spent flying my Z-95 in the brief pvp even last night was fun. Real hard to aim with it due to the gun displacement, but fun to fly.

True, there is an awesome r,p,y acc. modifier on the Heavy TIE etc, however I honestly think that that is required just to shift it out of the way of oncoming fire....which in the hands of a good pilot is achievable of course, but none the less, it is one of those ships which require 'real piloting' rather than the likes of the JSF and RG TIE which any new pilot could do rather well in them. And before anyone says anything..I'm not saying only bad pilots fly the JSF and RG TIE...I'm simply stating that put alongside a Heavy TIE, I am fairly certain that practicality wise, a JSF or RG TIE would bethe better choice. Of course, the arguement about that is that a Heavy TIE is much more easily acquirable than a JSF or RG TIE [especially the RG TIE for those poor folk whose quests have bugged ].

Anyway, thanks for the understanding replyDragon, I am only human and do say stupid things at times, however I'm not arrogantenough to continue along a path if I realise/am shown it was wrong. Glad to see you're mature enough to accept an apology when it's offered too .

1.) Good point, never thought of it. If its any comfort, im not moving there anymore.

2.) Oh.. hmm wonder who THAT could be. I'm not really mad at him, but i am royally pissed off at sony for allowing said exploits to persist, over the timeframe of MONTHS. Its totally ridiculous. Sony fixes these exploits when pigs fly and monkies fly out of my butt.

3.) Wow, i must suck. We still need to lock horns again, but honestly there isnt much of a point in it. I think it will be a fight without end, or one i would eventually win by virtue of being incredibly hard to hit. If its any value to you, you did demostrate to me some very important points in relation to L8 engines, and its a lesson i wont ever forget. I would very much like to go up in a 65K mass Tie interceptor against your A wing, but that will never happen, so im stuck with this small Hitbox RGT, and angry tells calling me an exploiter. Im sorry i wasnt much of a challenge for you. But hey, i dont think i ever strutted around beating my cheast bragging about how good i was unlike some ppl we know.

4.) thats why i joined an imp guild and am contemplating running a SW shop, just to vary my play a little. Pure flying runs dry too fast.

5.) Doesnt intrest me either. IF i wanted to play a game like Everquest or WoW, id sign up for it.

Sorry to see you go, youve been a great friend. If joining a guild doesnt bring the spark back into the game for me, ill probably be out the door too.

Whoops, sorry Dum'. I heavily edited that initial post before posting it but forgot to add that part you basically said for me. Yeh, Noone would probably beat me on Bria apart from you in an RG TIE or even a standard TIE Interceptor if it had 65k mass. You were actualy a challenge those three times we went against each other to be honest. I know the second run didn't really count since you were experimenting that time, but the last time I really had to 'fly' to get you. It wasn't your flying..it was your huge solar panels which to be fairI doubt -anyone- short of a lvl 10 engine could really pvp effectively in one of those Heavy TIES vs. an A-wing. Hmm...maybe we should try heavy 95 vs. heavy TIE..they're both as hilariously dodgy with the aiming and are both quite big targets .

As for my my reason 'number 2.' I guess I should say so as not to cause any hostilities, that yeh I'm more annoyed with the situation rather than at one (or possibly more) person/s.

Anyway...as I said, Saturday will be the decider.

WHat we need is all bugs fixed fast

A space war lol, Were we can have cap ships and hunt other cap ships and send out scout ships to other systems to check and would be constently looking for each other , And if one of the other ships is destroyed THe faction of that ship would take penialties like Slower shuttle time ,Getting less for their asteroid and HVing to pay a percent more maint on things. Also another thing that can be going on during this is we can have some systems can rendomly turn into a battlefeild for a few hours and this happens several times a day in random systems. People can avoid these if they want but noone knows what system or when a imp destroyer moving around the system batteries blazing ties streaming out the hangers to have a sweep of the system of rebs. ANd if you are a freelance in a multie player ship you ship is scanned for rebels. And if you do not run your ship is boarded And you destroyed,If you are in a corvette and get diables you are boarded and wiped out . IF you capture a npc ship corvette YOu can either try to convece them not to suicide and get faction points for prisoners who give infomation this could help in the war. Also this would be cool mp ships like arc , and pob ships can be boarded and you can board npc ships but it could have some weak pilots you have to kill OR some big space pirates a surprise every time .You can be boarded also by npc gunboats or pvp. YOu would also have gunboats filed with troops to Put in a corvette or a imp star destroyer.TO do this we would need to have space expanded alot.

Not true. Ask any Rebel pilots on my server

The Rebel pilots on your server aren't trying hard enough then to be honest.

lol, I'd say they're damn good. Maybe you shouldn't talk smack about pilots you've never even seen in action. Maybe its your close-mindedness about what ships setups are viable in PvP that lead to you being bored with it.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Actually..sorry about that, was an out of place comment. Didn't mean to sound like a trash talker.

In fact, apart from the fact you've totally got me all wrong as a person and player, I'm not narrow minded etc...I take it back. Sorry for any offence. Been stressed etc...

No hard feelings intended toward Bloodfin.

However, please give me some real reasons apart fromgetting me to'ask other players' why a heavy TIE is a good pvp ship and then I'll give you mine in some more detail too. Its all a matter of oppinion.

My posting name and in-game name are the same, though with a space instead of an underscore. Recently, however, I have been playing my alt, as I have made it my goal to ace all nine squadrons. I don't know many people. If I am flying with anyone, it will be with SD (sir-djinn), Zal, Jafo, or Lena. More often than not, I'm flying with Lena. You probably know all the people who PvP, though, since that definately doesn't include me. I'm not called the 'PvE Correspondent' on the GCW board for no reason.
