I just got 2222 freelance under the corsec flag and am flying my first mission. I did the part with nym's guys and am now patrolling the 'shipping lanes' I'm not getting any waypoints and no messages even though I've destroyed everything near me... anyone have any ideas?

When in doubt, read your quest journal. It'll probably tell you what to do.

Just says patrol the shipping lanes... sometimes I really hate these quests...

In that case, bring up your Datapad and read the mission description.

Does it give a system? Are you sure you're in the right sector?

I was in the right sector... I did get it finished though, guess they put in three times a charm logic cause this is the second mission in a row that I had to do 3 times for anything to happen...

This mission (unlike others which require you to stay in the same sector)starts in Lok but requires travel to another sector to do the patrol (I'm remembering Endor...?). It is the second tier 3 mission that's the real bear...

Yup Endor. The first two times I tried the mission I'd Hyper there and there would be a patrol waypoint; I'd go to the waypoint and nothing would happen, I tried killing anything near the waypoint, nothing would happen... Third time I tried the mission as soon as I got to the waypoint it updated with a new one, and I was able to do the mission no problem... /shrug

And YES! this next mission is a bear! I've tried it two times and have failed both times... I'm not hurting the attackers fast enough and the transport takes off too fast for me to fly cover for it. I had some stuff come up and haven't been able to try in a couple days, maybe tonight... wish me luck

Oh, and if nothing's happening, you should have the time to check spatial and see if you missed anything.
