Thread: Crimson Tie Quest--HELP!!!!

Hi. I am a Master Pilot from grinding off of tier 4-5 fighters. I am having a problem hurting this rebel corvette at all. I take out the fighters np, but i get too close , even underneath and I get creamed. iam flying a JSF, fully loaded with mark 4 weapons, and a 103 speed engine with 1300 shields. I can fly the ship but if i get within blast range with lasers of 550 m,, I am dead before I get a scracth on him. Please help me with some advice here. Thanks

ur ship is weak qst of all, im only 4333 rsf pilot (on my main pilot) and i have looted non RE 1900 shields and mark 4 guns, try better equipment and a heavy duty fighter

I have a Krayt Ship with 2400 shields and 3 weapons, problem is I have read the JSF is the "ship of choice" considering it's maneauverability and speed, but it only has 90k mass. Otherwise I would be equipped with better weapons, which are currently 2900 max damage triple blasters.

this is what i did to disable the vette fly up behind it and use missiles to take out the sheilds and gun for the engines and yeah may wont to trade in the jsf for a tie opp and get like 4k shields.

Also, no one has mentioned you can only target individual parts on the vette and damage those, its not like other ships that you just shoot at.

disabling it is the easy part... disabling with out using bomberstrike is what got me.



Come in on the back side of the vette, shoot an escort boost off. Kill escorts. Make a wide turn around the vette after escorts are dead and attack head on from slightly above. Target turret 5 on the vette. Blast it. try and stay about 2m off the deck of the vette. Boost and CTSS4 when necessary. Make another wide turn. Same positioning as before target shields and aux shields. Then go behind and drop the engines.



Dont use bomberstrike or you will fail during the escort. also dont blast all the turrets off or you will also fail. Took me like 10 tries to get it right.

Oh COME on.. it isnt that hard I disabled it (granted im an ace pilot..) in about 5 seconds in my TIE Oppressor.. how?


Target primary shields, launch spacebomb 13000-24000 #1


Target secondary shields, launch spacebomb #2


Target engine, shoot a few times, engines disabled.. chill


Those 'tips' you hear where you have to destroy gun #5? BS!! Just go right in the middle of the ships engine and maintain speed while you do your missiles


The only reason youd have to destroy gun #5 ever on a vette is for the ace one because if you get too close the gunboats will shoot at you and if you go high enough to the blind spot the gunboats will shoot at you some more

All of the turrets respawn when you capture the vette.


If you're in an Actis and getting beat up, you're doing something wrong. The ship is small and fast, start moving and make yourself hard to hit. NPC turrets don't track well, and as long as you aren't sitting still the turrets are easy to take out.

All of the turrets may respawn, but they don't seem to work as effectively as if you don't destroy them in the first place. I helped a guildy on this last night. Vape the escort. Two concussion missiles into each of the vettes shields. Then blast the engines with guns. Then hit the stop key cause if you overrun the vette the guns will blast you. wait a couple minutes for the people onboard to take over, then escort to safety.

Yeah but what if you dont want to be cheap and use missles that fly through the ship


Or dont have room for missles...


Or are not master for spacebomb mk II...


Or only have room for 1 ordanance...


Or.... the list goes on.

I was hoping someone would say that, it does feel like they're more effective when left up. But I can't test it, can anyone confirm?


I did the Kashyyyk vette with a friend and we left the turrets up, they still didn't seem to help much anyhow. And twice now I've managed to agro the vette somehow during the escort, so it's kinda nice if it doesn't bit so hard.

I tried to solo the kashyyykvettes 8 times in my krayt and didn't make it. It was just too big and didn't move like you need to avoid getting hit. Used my JSF and got it on the first try. It is all about movement. The vette is the easy part... the 2 tier 5 spinninng gunboats are the real problem (except for imps who only get 1 tier 3).
