I sure could use some help in this department. I have been spoiled by our high speed manuvabity and while I can fight PVE fine in my Oppresser , find I am taking longer to kill the MOBs. Which will get me killed in PVP , I am guessing. I have my ship outfitted but I do no own any really good parts , I have done the starmap quest but my engine was pretty weak low 70s for p/r/y. I can not even fit 3 missils on my ship.
Any ideals for loadouts and any good shipwights on Cobatis. Too bad I do not have many millions .
So flying sliding secrets would be cool also.
Thanks in advance.

Red Dawn just outside of Theed is one of the best Shipwright's on Corbantis. His prices are good and his stuff is great.
If I were able to log on, I would shoot you the waypoint... but I dont have the ability atm...
If you ask, I am sure someone can point you there... Trying to remember, I think it is about 1700m from the starport or so.

To get the most out of any ship (espically imperial) your going to have to do some Re engineering. However, some crafted parts you could pick up for your oppy include:
MK III reactor (if its lower then 14K output, dont buy it)
MK II armor w/ reinforcment panel
MK II booster
MK IV (or is it V?) Droid Interface - (aim for around 16ish delay), at around 6K to 7K mass.
MK II capacitor (although id recommened RE'd but this would do in the meantime)
MK IV shield (1900 F/B, using overcharger, Not an intensifer) - this is assuming you dont have an L8 reward shield RE'd yet.
MK III concussion/proton missle tubes (if its 6K or more in mass, dont buy it)
Items you'll want RE'ed:
L2 or L4 capacitor
your blasters
your L8 reward shield
an L8 engine
L4 Reward booster
Work it all out right and you can eventually have an oppy whos performance will reflect an L8 engine, shield, three missle tubes, L10 gun, L8 gun, with mass to spare.

If you're putting together an Oppressor for PvP, I would go with the following...
- Mark V engine with 119+ speed
- RE'd level 8 reward shield
- Three mark II image-rec missile launchers
- High speed mark IV booster
- Mark I droid interface
- RE'd level 2 or 4 capacitor
- 2000+ front/back armor
- A large enough reactor to run engine overload 4
- Two level 5 guns
With the above setup, the missiles will be your primary weapon. You'll rarely be using the guns in PvP. Your strategy will be to try and get a missile lock on your opponent during the opening pass, and then rather than getting into a turning match with him, you'll hit the booster, go into a corkscrew, and quickly get out of range. Then you'll spin around and repeat the whole process. I've been using this tactic pretty effectively in my KSE against JSFs and Belb22s, and that's only with a 108 speed engine and a mark II booster, plus I have a bigger hit profile while trying to boost back out of range, not to mention that the KSE can only launch two missiles per pass versus the Opp's three. Most players try to focus on building a good dogfighter, but that's not the Oppressor's strength. Its missiles are where its real power is, and high speed hit-and-runs maximize that power.

The loadout on mine was quite simple really, since I used it mainly as a dogfighter (not a fan of missling someone, imo it takes a lot of the skill of being an Opp pilot away).
RE'd Starmap engine, 78PYR, speed as high as you can go
RE'd level 8 reward shield, 2555f/b, 16.5 recharge
RE'd level 8 armor on the front, 1802 armor
RE'd level 2 Capacitor, 1208 energy, 38.6 recharge (very lucky on that combo)
Pre-Nerf DI, 15.3 speed, 500 mass (not everyone has that option)
2x Mk.V QuickFire Ion Cannons, 0.25 refire a must, rest into mass
3x IR2 launchers
Chaff Launcher
Reactor just big enough to handle it all, crafted works nicely, use a Mk.III myself
Mass: (numbers are rough estimates, don't have it loaded out currently)
Engine: 26k
Shield: 25k
Armor: 12k
Capacitor: 1.6k
DI: 500
2x Ion Cannons: 33.3k each, 66.6k total
3x IR2s: 5.7k each, 17.1k total
Chaff Launcher: 890
Reactor: 6.5k
Total mass: 156,200k (roughly, give or take about 3k)
Mass of my Opp: 172k
As you can see, with nicely RE'd gear, you can easily fit in everything you need. The guns will tear apart anything in PvP very quickly, plus you have IR2s as backup if it ever gets too ugly. And a trio of IR2s will take down all but the biggest of ships.
As to the sliding secret: 40% throttle is your friend. Enough said there

The 15ish delay, 6-7k mass DI is a Mark IV - I have one at 15.3 speed, 6604 mass.

thanks. I will have to find a shipwright for the re-engineering. I will continue to check for good Ideals .
Thanks all. I will also look for the red shipwright. Good plug . work of mouth works great.

LVL 4 Sienar modified light durasteel (sp) can be re'd down to under 2k mass and with a goodmated plate brings 700 hp of armor.
LVL 7 armor can hit just above 1500 hp pre-re and around 5k mass, then re'd
LVL 8 armor, the fibertech armor from Nym, hist 2k protection and mass can get below 10k, as low as 6k for uber loot.
ALso, if mass somehow is a concern, while a good RE'd lvl 4 booster is awesome, the crafted mark 1 can hit 34 TS and last for 10 seconds.
Just thoughts when you are looking around
