Thread: Rookie Dilemma

I just launched into space for the first time and, although clumsy and tending to overcorrect, I did fairly decently. (BTW, is that a one screen listing of the controls?) However, the second time I launched, I could only accelerate in a straight line and shoot. My mouse wouldn't let me turn, dive, climb - nothing. I finally had to self destruct to get home.

On the ground the mouse works flawlessly but not in space.

Any ideas or fixes?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I don't know what the problem there was, but there's another way to head to a destination - bring up the N map, and autopilot to a WP or POI.

Go into your options tab. Under Controls there is a section called "Starship Piloting Mouse Mode". You may need to switch this to Virtual Joystick, or one of the other two if that does not work.
