That is what I have... Y-wing longprobe. I got a blaster and an ion cannon equiped. But I cant get both to fire when they are grouped together. Do they both have to be blasters?
Longprobe doesn't have a functional turret. Both guns should be nose mounted and you should be able to fire both if they are grouped.

well that makes sence.... so what rebel ships will allow me to mount 2 weapons on the nose of the ship?
Check your ship and make sure you are flying a Y-wing Longprobe variant. TheY-wing basic variant is a two person ship with a nose mounted pilot controlled weapon and a gunner controlled turret weapon. If that is indeed what you have you can mount two weapons in the nose. Grouping should be just a matter of using the g key to bring up the window to group both in the same projectile group.

Actualy they are not both nose mounted. Gun 1 is in the nose. Gun 2 is above the cockpit but both fire foward and are controlled by the pilot.
Shift G opens up the group command in space btw.

Well that is what I have... A Y-Wing longprobe. I have grouped the 2 together but cant get both to fire at same time. Guess I need to double check to see if it actually is a longprobe.

U need to launch, then go to options, select keymap, and then select ship. Here u can rebind your weapongroups to certain buttons. eg. I have a joystick, I want to fire all my weapons at once with my main trigger. So I bind joybutton 1 to weapon group 1. Missiles are weapon group2 joy button 2, CM's are weapon group 3, and joy button 5. Then, press G after u have applied those new bindings. This brings up your weapon groups. select weapon group 1, and select both weapons that u have on the Longprobe. If u carry missiles, assign those to weapon group 2 CM's to weapon group 3. Then, when u press your button, u should fire both weapons at the same time. This gives u more firepower, but also drains your cap faster, so u will need a batter cap, and droid programs as u advance through the levels.
Hope this helps m8
