I'm probably very much mistaken, but I just RE'd this capacitor, and I thought it was pretty sweet. If it's not, let me know so I know what to look for next time 
Energy drain: 747.8
Mass: 7954.2
Capacitor energy: 1214.9
Recharge rate: 45.2

Although it's decent, I'm holding off all RE jobs 'til after they fix the bug where reactor energy drain does not get the RE bonus

Good luck with that. You might see First Contact first.
Usually when something's busted for six months' straight, they've forgotten about it.
That or the "break" was intentional as a penalty for the WO3 bug.

Then I shall wait. Otherwise I wouldnt have ended up with a 1400 energy level 6 cap to RE

I prefer my L2 cap at 39.1 recharge, though the max energy is better on the L4 ... the L6 is nice if you can spare the mass, but there's ALWAYS somewhere else you can use the mass!

Yarr, but with a WO3 fix in mind or using WO2, a level 2 cap won't cut it lol. L4 might, for one target. Tier 5s that is
Edit: I wrote the above with ships loaded with 2 or more blasters in mind. I think single blaster starfighters would be fine though.

/concur. Krayts, Rixhyrks, B-Wings, and Heavy X-wings should all save room for a lvl6 cap. That is, as long as you plan on outfitting at least three blasters. Even with wo3 broken as it is currently, there's a tremendous difference between using a good lvl6 and skimping on mass with a l4 or l2. Besides, a good l6 RE job leaves you with what, 9k mass on the cap? 8k if you're patient.

You can get a lvl 6 cap to RE at over 1200 energy. 50ish regen and under 8k mass.
This is the definte sweetspot for heavy mass, mulitple blaster ships.

OBTW the cap shown at the beginning of the thread ain't bad. Next one you will have a good target to shoot for and better.
