ok. What are the names of the various pre-nerf engines and droid interfaces, anyone got a list I can look for?

The names of the engines have no changed, only the stats.

And if i remember correctly, if you Re a prenerf DI, itll change the stats to post Nerf ones!

Im pretty sure that when I REed one (a day or two after the nerf) its DI speed went UP not DOWN, hence me junking it and saying, "Im not f*cking doing that again!"

I have two prenerf level 1DI's that I recently RE'd to better stats, if that helps answer the issue. ThePsiko is correct.

Your not having me on in the hope ill RE my good DIs to utter crappiness are you? I remember it clearly, it was a warm day in mos espa next to the bazaar. Id forgotten that the DIs had been nerfed the day before. I picked up a great DI from the bazaar and on REing it went from a speed of 13 to a speed of 28. Since then i havent put a DI near a component analysis device.

to be honest..pvp wise, pre-nerf 6 engines are a bit obsolete imo. I mean sure..they could be useful, but you have so many more options now. However...if anyone wants to sell me a pre-nerf DI on starsider or Valcyn, I'd be a very happy bunny. Otherwise, I'll make do with a heavier one and just sacrifice ordnance off my A-wing when I produce it.


Why did tey nerf those DI's anyway? I'm sturggling to see how they could be such a huge imbalance..I mean it's not like they're super hugely fast and for pilots who prefer A-wings and..even like the standard squint, they're pretty essential if you want to squeeze anything else worthwhile on the ships. /shrug. Not a complaint..just a question.


Anyway..time to spend the next three hours designing my toon on Valcyn. You got to remember guys...performance = nothing unless you look good. /insanesmile

Ok..so Leaph looks a bit dodgy, but you would too if you were cramped up in an A-wing cockpit all the time.

I am pretty sure they nerfed the DIs because they were backwards. It made the higher level stuff really obsolete, since the speed was going up as your levels did. I am not totally sure about this, however, as it was before my time here.

So... you're just posting to post then? Yeah, we know why they did it, thanks though


edit- oops Leaph didn't know, but then he forgets his name if he doesn't fly for two days. Yes exactly correct. In the rush to get JtL out, the person who coded the loot didn't know that lower numbers were better. Everyone calls them prenerf, but they are really pre-fix.

Well, he asked. And... yeah, pretty much. Packing for the trip didn't take as long as I thought, so I've got some time to kill, and posting beats watching daytime television.
