I've read a few threads and have come to realize I've been spoiled by the mass of my rihx. So I'm wondering if there is a guide/advice on what components to look to RE and at what level. Something like, level 6 DI with stats in this range, level 8 cap, etc.

Well it's really pretty complicated and varied. You are going to be making trade-offs anyway you go, so there isn't really a "right" answer we can give you. I could go into some of the differnt combinations and waht to look for in each of them, but that could take hours!

Do you have a ship setup now? Could you post the stats of it on here? Then everyone can look and give specific suggestions onwhere you could improve, and how to do it.

You want a level 8 shield. Use your reward shield from your Tier 4 training, and you're set for protection numbers. It will RE to 2555 F/B, which is better than you'll find anywhere else, a very very small number of Level 10 shields excluded. You should be able to get the mass down to about 25k without much trouble. Lower, if you can hold out on it.

If you got a good QID from Nym, a level 8 engine is also the way to go. I haven't really been paying attention to stats too much on engines, however. My QID RE job was tossed together to see what it would come out like. Next time, I'm holding out for better parts. But it was decent for the about 10 seconds of forethought I put into it. I just wanted to make the QID fit into my Dunelizard, which it now does.

I'll try to remember to do that tonight. My load out right now, is lvl 7 crafted items or items I've looted... AND I change the loadout depending on what I'm doing. If I'm mining, I have a certain setup as opposed to going to Kessel, etc. I guess it's going to take a while to learn the ropes, but that's better than playing my jedi right now

fit the engine guns and shields you want, and then work everything else around those three things.
